Been watching Trading Places on my iPod on way to work this morning, will continue to do so at lunch.
For me, not just a great movie but a good Christmas one too.

I always liked Home Alone and Home Alone 2 when I was a kid, the Americans just seemed to do Christmas so much better, more of a big thing over there it seems.

What other good Christmas themed movies can anyone recommend to me?

Home Alone
Home Alone 2
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Scrooged
Die Hard

Top three are the best.

This little thing, which has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas, is part of one of the Disney Christmas shows here in Norway. Possibly the greatest film of the 20th century.

I had no idea that they show that stuff at Christmas in Norway too!

I do like Muppets Christmas Carol.

Watched Bad Santa aswell....
Fantastic film!

When I think of Christmas movies, I think of:

Home Alone
Scrooged
National Lampoons Christmas
Santa Claus The Movie
200 Cigarettes (more of a New Year's Eve movie but still the festive period)
Big (because it always used to come on at Xmas when I was a kid)

Back to the future 1 and 2 - not so much a xmas film, as I could watch them every day of the year, but usually on, and always watched by me.

Back To The Future is a good shout for ones that are always on at Christmas, and yes I'll definitely be watching them. The remastered version in the cinema was epic.

When I was a kid it was always The Sound of Music, The Great Escape, Jason and The Argonauts, Bridge Over The River Kwai and Quatermass and the Pit late at night.
