Claudio Ranieri has officially retired from Football, all the best Claudio.

I still remember the day Leicester appointed him and all tbe pundits on TalkSport were talking about what a terrible appointment was and how Leicester were now favorites for relegation, oh how wrong they were.

His Leicester fairytale will live on forever. Unbelievable achievement and the best manager to only have a single PL to his name. Happy retirement.

What a manager.

He had his ups and downs but when he got things right he really got them right.

Goes off into the sunset like a proud grampa after doing a last miracle for his kids

Probably the first time ever a manager tries to resign only for his players to reject it and convince him to stay on

I recall being "angry" at the Leicester players for letting Ranieri down when he got fired from the job. That league run is going to be made into a movie at some point.

how the times flies. that Leicester miracle was decade ago. he was also managing Valencia when they won a Super Cup against the same Porto side that knocked us out from the CL, and that was 20 years ago. he was also managing that Fiorentina team with Batistuta and Rui Costa, and that was 30 years ago

Didn't he save Caligari from the drop this season?

Awesome gent, and he'll always be remembered for Leicester. Enjoy retirement!
Yep did a great job getting them up from mid table in Serie B and then kept them up with a game to spare this year with some wild comebacks at home.

I did always wonder whether Italy would give him a shot in his later years. Probably if he'd left Leicester straight after the title win he would've got the job ahead of Ventura who was a similar age, not as experience at the top level and was ultimately a disaster failing to get them to 2018 World cup.

Highbury was a proper stadium.

RIP Reyes.

Best Wayne Bridge moment.

Probably best to forget the Semi.

Ranieri's a great guy and in England you can't look past the Leicester miracle and stopping Spurs in the process.

Yeah Highbury was a great little ground. It had proper character, unlike the Emirates.

He was a brilliant gentleman and I’d imagine lots of fanbases have nothing but fond memories of him at their clubs.

Anyone dislikes him should be banned from society. A true gentleman through and through bar the time he makes the UCL draws and just won’t shut up. Get on you c***.

We probably won't see another football story like Leicester's title that season in our lifetime. That achievement alone puts Ranieri on all-time greats list.

Legend of the game.

Hes open to national teams though right? Still time to lead Italy to a WC victory one day.

Happy retirement to the gentleman.
His single PL has much more worth than the tainted ones City have. Netflix should film that instead of the 115s.

The Tinker Man won't be tinkering again.

The Leicester title will forever rank as one of the most shocking achievement in sport. A cup win is a understandable but to win the league over 38 games in a season is unbelievable.

Congratulations Claudio.

One of the most strangely slept on managers I've ever known.

Consistent, clearly a nice chap, a genuinely heartwarming documentary to be about his Leicester and Cagliari days.

Happy Retirement you absolute gent.

Great manager. Never among the elite but very few managers reach the levels he has in their lifetime. He was like a phoenix that always rose from the ashes. Wishing him the best.

He's only retired from club management, said he'd be open to an international job.
