I assume that my career is going pretty well? United's star player, top scorer and assister in the league, that sort of thing.
No big numbers, but great average. You'll never be the star player until RvN retires tough.

I scored the all-important opening goals and couldn't get a measly 10?

March 22, 2003 - Euro Qualifier - Slovakia v England

An all-caf XI to face Slovakia.

@Skizzo
@youngrell
@Herman Toothrot
@Mr Pigeon

@TrustInOle

Stands

@oneniltothearsenal (suspension)
@Ian Reus
@paulscholes18
@LARulz

@K Stand Knut and @The Cat injured were not called.

No goals in the first half, but the best chances were for Slovakia.

The manager wasn't happy and made 2 subs half time:

out: @golden_blunder and @youngrell

in: @Dr. Dwayne and @whitbyviking

England finally scores, it's @Mr Pigeon returned from injury who opens the score. @Shakesy with the assist.

After the assist, it was time for @Shakesy to score his first goal for England!

72 min

Bad game by @BenitoSTARR, he was replaced by Bridges

90 min

Bridges makes it 3-0, assisted by @whitbyviking

FT: Slovakia 0-3 England

Despite having more chances, England was more effective. @Shakesy really took advantage of @oneniltothearsenal's injury and was POTM was a goal and an assist.

England continues 100% victorious. Apparently it was @nimic jinxing the whole thing.

Latvia surprised Greece in the other match of the group.

England faces Belgium away next, a win and they're qualified for the Euro in Portugal.

Some turn around from @Peter van der Gea in the CM simulations. Banter club in the first iteration and now 1st choice number 1 for England in the second and banging our consistent high ratings

Great start for England, @youngrell opens the score, assisted by @Herman Toothrot

Very even match, both teams hit the post in the 1st half

HT Belgium 0-1 England

@Mr Pigeon invisible in the first half was replaced by Lee Bowyer

74 min subs, England changes both strikers

@BenitoSTARR and @TrustInOle are out, @paulscholes18 and Bridges came on

Pretty uneventful second half

FT: Belgium 0-1 England

@youngrell was the hero of the match, he scored the only goal and got the POTM award

Slovakia beat Greece with a last minute goal.

England is all but qualified, now let's see if you guys can win all matches. Next match is home to Greece.

At this point, I have to believe that John Terry has kidnapped me and is holding me hostage in my own house while he shags my wife.

Any movement looking likely @maniak or am I still languishing at Southampton?

Arsenal

Arsenal finished 2nd in the league, 8 points behind the champions. Good run in the cups, Arsenal won the FA Cup beating Bolton in the final, lost in the League Cup final and made it to the quarters of the UEFA Cup, but were defeated by Dortmund.

@Cheimoon

@Ian Reus

@oneniltothearsenal

Aston Villa

Villa finished 15th in the league and nothing to write home about in the cups.

Good season for @OptimisedRed who seems to be above this team in terms of quality.

@OptimisedRed

Barcelona

Barcelona dominated in Spain, they were the La Liga champions, won the Copa del Rey and also the Spanish Supercup. @whitbyviking didn't have much to do with it. In the CL they were eliminated in the 2nd group stage.

@whitbyviking

Celtic

Celtic finished 2nd in the league 15 points behind Rangers but won the Cup. Great CL campaign, Celtic made it to the quarter finals but lost to United.

@Welsh Wonder

@youngrell

Chelsea

Chelsea finished 6th in the league, 4 points from the CL spots. Defeated in both domestic cups in the quarters, Chelsea made up for it by winning the UEFA Cup, defeating Dortmund in penalties.

@anant

@pacifictheme

Coventry

Despite @sebsheep's efforts, who went the entire season without conceding, Coventry finished 13th in the PL.

@sebsheep

Crewe

Crewe finished 7th in the Championship, only 1 point outside playoff spots. @Samid was called for the u21 national team, but he's still not getting club football.

@Samid

Ipswich

Decent season for Ipswich, they finished 9th in the PL and made it to the FA cup semis, but lost to Bolton.

@Stobzilla

Not a good season for Leeds, 7th in the PL and nothing in the cups.

Terrible season for Liverpool, 12th in the league and knocked out in the first round of both cups. The only excitement for the fans was the CL campaign, they made it to the quarter finals but were defeated by Schalke04.

@Big Andy

Tottenham

Nice season for Spurs, 16th in the league, going out early in all cups, including in the UEFA cup, were they conceded 4 at home to Legia Warsaw to be knocked out.

@LARulz

West Ham

West Ham finished dead last in the PL and were relegated to the Championship. They made it to the semi final of the League Cup, but lost to Arsenal. Half the squad is unhappy and wants to leave. @WR however, says he's happy to stay at the club.

Surely I must be a candidate for a further move. Good goal per game ratio and high ave rating :lol:

Happy not to have been part of that last England debacle too, getting humped like that must put the manager on the hot seat
