1 point from 15 against Arsenal, Newcastle, Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea. Two goal deficit losses to Man United and Arsenal. Home defeats to Newcastle and Liverpool, on both occasions going 2-0 down at half time. The solitary point an undeserved draw at Chelsea.

This whole idea of surrendering possession to top teams is mental. I for one think Conte isn't quite in total control as some people believe. In every game so far Spurs have been playing catch up. They take no initiative to dominate and own the game. They are happy to sit within a stalemate and play a game of who makes the first mistake. Problem for them Lloris, Dier and Emerson have been the ones willing to make the error.

They need to be mor attack minded form the beginning

Tbf, he won the league with Chelsea in 2016/17 i think it was? Granted many stars aligned (Peps first season transitioning, ditto Klopp still building his squad etc). But yeah, agreed with your overall point, especially not with this Spurs squad, against the rest.

Glad we ever signed him, even if there was quite a loud clamour for us to do it on here.

The stupid thing about it is that whenever they actually bother to play properly they actually look good. They should have beaten Liverpool yesterday; they are just far too negative from the start of the game.

So, in truth, he has made a good team and can get them to play well. But, for some reason or other, he decides to start all games on the backfoot.

Spurs deserved to get something out of the game yesterday, Liverpool were lucky and the refs were on their side.

Yup. Conte really got it wrong yesterday.

You will very rarely see a big side so dead legged and completely out of gas for an entire half as Liverpool was yesterday. They are well and truly limping to the finish line with this WC break and the only possible way they were going to win that match was if their opponent allowed them to easily take the initiative in the first half and get up a couple goals, then their opponent was so bereft of creativity that they couldn't come back against a team running in quicksand for the last 45 minutes. And that's exactly what happened.

Spurs have been killed by injuries but they could easily have been a bit more proactive in the match, taken it to Liverpool from the start, and then dominated them in the second half. Liverpool or not, you just shouldn't lose a game at home against another side that has half your energy levels.

They're nowhere near Arsenal who are top of the table, are top 4 contenders but not sure they'll will finish top 4 before Liverpool (or United if we play well), out of Carabao Cup, really small chances they win CL. Guess Fa Cup is a chance for trophy and some kind of success this season, but that's a long shot as well.

Defensively they look so weak and far from a top team.

Likes of Dier still a regular starter, not sure how Lenglet is doing but he's far from the emerging player he was at Sevilla. Ben Davies is o.k but again not close to top tier and then when injuries hit Tanganga and Sanchez have to fill in. Then have Emerson, Doherty etc as the wing backs.

Going back to the Man. United game in mid October they've now conceded 13 goals in their last 6 games which is really poor when you consider they normally have at least two holding midfielders, sometimes three.

Just imagine how fecking depressed we’d be right now if we were at the stage of ‘giving the manager time’ and that manager was Conte when people wanted him?

Ronaldo was the one who actually very strongly vetoed against any possibility of Conte. The last bit of good he did this club?
At least we’d still have Ronaldo so not all would be lost…
With Conte? No chance. Ronaldo hated the idea of having him and some of the reliable names in the media said he basically flat out rejected the idea in 2021

I liked the idea when it was between him and Ole but it's like choosing between a shit sandwich and a punch in the gob
Haha exactly, Ragnick was shit but at least the board didn't lumber us with Conte for a couple of seasons. We're much further ahead with ETH

Wonder if any resident spurs men be in to defend this after the match.

Everyone been calling it a while. No chance they happy about this, even if they pretend that they are because the "results" been good.

REALLY glad we did not go for him when he was available. It would have been depressing to just repeat Jose all over again.

The number of people who legit suggested Conte could win Spurs the league. Awkward.

He was either going to win the league or torch the dressing room. Nobody could be sure which it would be but it’s time for someone to grab a fire extinguisher.

I think the summer will be crucial. If Spurs arent prepared to spend huge he'll feck off to another club. Juve, PSG maybe, Newcastle even, etc

Conte needs to be backed to win, back him and he will bring success

I can’t believe people thought he was one of the worlds best managers, not even one of the leagues best managers.

I think it's more a Spurs thing than Conte, he never should've gone there in the first place because they were never winning shit.
