Rules:
1. Build an XI good enough to win the Europe league

2. For your XI: 250M worth of players found here https://www.transfermarkt.com/spiel...&jahrgang=0&land_id=0&kontinent_id=0&yt0=Show
-Note: you have to search by position to get down to 20M players and under you need to make a team and stay under

3. Let's say 4 subs (no keeper) for a separate 30M

4. Assume everyone stays healthy, so even if you pick Harry Kane or uh Darren Anderton he plays in all games

Total: 216.0 mil. Nice and cheap. Initially misread the instructions and thought the whole team including the bench had to be under 250 mil but I think this team is good enough to win Europa so I'm keeping it.

Transfermarkt is like the Caf in that they ridiculously undervalue any player who hits 30. That Ramos price was a joke

I think NoPace is looking for a squad in euros, in which case that one would break it by a bit. I could be wrong but going from the market that was linked.

• 5 of the players have won the Champions League in recent years and 6 have reached the final, so they have the requisite astuteness.
• Quite a few leaders and tough characters with loads of big stage experience.
• Two of the best attackers in club football this season to lead the line.
• Romero has an outstanding record in the Europa League (9 goals conceded in 21 games or something like that), and seemed to be a no-brainer at just €3.5 million.
• Tempted to sign Bruno (€60.00m) instead of Papu by cutting corners in other positions (e.g. Chiellini is available for €5m and Carvajal was a bit of luxury), but that might have been superfluous as Ilicić has a wonderful understanding with the latter in Atalanta's blistering attack.

I picked old guys same as everyone else, so built a team for the counter. Also wanted some young legs to make sure I didn't have a team whose lack of legs is revealed against some young side running them off the pitch.

Rationale:
-Same old guy bargains as others
-Spanish speaking back 4 except James', as I felt I needed a double digits assists fullback and I think he's there already quality-wise
-Buendia might seem odd since he never scores, but he's constantly open and available so I think he can help get the ball to the playmakers like Ilicic and Di Maria and the secondary ones in Savanier and James to set up Vardy and Ilicic the main goalscorers
-Reguilon looks great whenever I see him and he's been one of Sevilla's better players
-Spent big on Partey because I think you need a star midfielder to have the best odds to win in Europe and I think he's maybe the best around
-Savanier is cheap because he's 30 and doesn't want to move but he's been a top 10 Ligue 1 player again and a nice compliment to Partey as a more offensive type but one who still plays in a midfield 2

Love it but it's gotta be a carre magique/Pellegrini sort of thing with Grealish LAM, Foden RAM ahead of Fred and Barrios

Fernandino-Modric-Illicic not enough legs for me. I think you'd have to sit incredibly deep.
