The amount of correct media articles is a extremely low percentage when it comes to such rumours.
That's not really the point, though.

Castles almost certainly had genuine inside information about Ole getting sacked. Ditto with Ronaldo back to United last summer. He's been known for getting things right about Mendes clients for years, going back to well before Mourinho joined United.

Unless his relationship with Mendes has changed dramatically very recently, it's unlikely that he'd just invent a story about Ronaldo being unhappy with ETH.

Really need him out of the club at this point.

Funny how story comes after he misses open goal and missed couple of chances and just looks like lost all of his ability as a footballer since season has started.

I'd say he was told not starting vs Everton so starting bit of negativity now.

I wouldnt care if we terminated his contract.

Who cares what he thinks tbh. On merit, he is just a player who in reality contributes nothing to the team. Last season he did fuk all in most games in terms of actually adding to how the team played but at least he scored some important goals. The goals have dried up and ETH has the common sense not to play with ten men for 90 minutes in the hope he scores at some point.

That’s it. If he is not happy so what. We need to not only move on from him but we need to ensure the spotlight on him does not unsettle what is already a fragile situation for ETH

Martial has to start. I think he will be key for us and I also think we will see what having a forward that can drop off and hold up the ball and get turned gives ETH in terms of actually playing his style of football.

As predicted over the summer, the situation is turning toxic quickly, even moreso with Ronaldo not seeing much minutes. Should have sold or terminated his contract in the summer.

These Ronaldo stories would have more impact if he was banging in the goals. After missing so many easy chances in Cyprus his people should have known better than to try this crap. Nobody cares when you are just a 500k a week milestone with one goal from open play.

This United vs Ronaldo circus is the only thing that keeps people talking about him. What else makes him relevant if he leaves and no one wants to sign him?

Here we go again. Couldn't see this shit coming a mile off.

The only way he's leaving is if he and Utd agree a contract termination, or Utd pay most of his wages on a loan.

He was probably allowed to leave in the summer even though we kept saying he wasn’t for sale. Think it was more to do with no one wanting him.

I am now in the "cancel his contract" crew.
In fact, I don't want us to wait till January.

It is impossible to phase out someone with that ego without it being toxic. I regret defending the club for not terminating his contract. He is a distraction.

It's going exactly as expected when no one wanted him in the summer. January will likely be the same.

Such a dumb move to bring him back.

Remember that embarrassing PR puff piece Duncan Castles wrote over the summer? He's a mouthpiece for Ronaldo/Mendes. No doubt this is true and something Ronaldo wanted out.

More like you guys need to get out for believing this. Duncan Castles has rarely written anything positive since Mourinho left.
You surely know the rules. Believe anything that paints the club in a negative light. Discredit anything bordering on positivity

He's a joke and a toxic presence. Can't believe he's still putting out shit like this after the performances he's had.

If he really wants to leave and play we should agree to a mutual termination.

Agree to leave with 1 months wages and you can feck off. Let's see what he cares about more, his 'money' or his 'career'.

We only have to tolerate like another month of this, until mid November.
Straight to the WC and right after that comes the January transfer window...That if he still has any suitors.

Hopefully he has a good world cup so a couple of teams (bigger than galatasaray) possibly show an interest but I called him not getting a transfer in the summer and I don’t see what has changed regarding a possible transfer. The contract is still the contract and on the pitch things got a whole lot worse.

Ronaldo clearly wants out, the club obviously want to hold him for as long as they can (for marketing/whatever purposes) — but more importantly, because they won’t have to give ten Hag a replacement in January.

Hopefully with Martial now back fit Ronaldo can take his rightful place on the bench and then leave in January. I was a big fan of his from when he joined us as a teen, but the reality is Ronaldo is not loyal to anyone but himself, he doesn't love a club or love fans of a club. All he loves is attention, he has no qualms speaking badly about united or the manager to get his way. At the end of the day when you take away the name Ronaldo he is no better than your average premier league striker if that and yet he is the highest paid player here. We need to get rid of him asap.

Actually think how ludicrous it is that we have a 38 yo striker who has scored 1 goal, can't run, cant dribble, has no strength, is not creative, provides less currently than Danny Welbeck and he is our highest paid player.....and yet we wonder why we are miles behind the likea of pool and city.

Martial is back and he's scoring goals, Ronaldo knows his already limited appearances is going to reduce even further. He would be demoted to third choice center forward (after Martial and Rashford). He tried to be good and attempted to reclaim his spot while Martial was out. It didn't work so now you'll see the real personality come out till he moves.
I just hope results be good from now till January. Because Ronaldo only option now is to attempt to take on ETH.

Mad isn't it.

An article with absolutely no proof, and people are all piling in based on their perception of the player.
You wonder whether they believe everything in the tabloids.

Why do people always seem to like to falsify a footballer's age and add one extra year? He is 37.

But this is not the standard tabloid article. It's written by Mendes' mouthpiece in the media, so at the very least we can surmise that Mendes wanted this info out about his client. And therefore possibly/probably Ronaldo did too.

It doesn't make it true, per se, but you have to ask why Ronaldo's agent wanted this to come out. The obvious conclusion is to force United's hand in finding a buyer in January and perhaps deflect blame for the ongoing disaster onto Ten Hag. It certainly can't be just waved away as tabloid fantasy.

If United sold Maguire and Ronaldo, I wonder which player in the squad the media would write endless bullshit stories about then!

With Pogba gone its slim pickings once those 2 leave.

Seems likely.

One can question how well Mendes reads the situation. Ronaldo is becoming increasingly unpopular. I doubt this piece will convince anyone that ETH is shit and at fault for Ronaldo's poor performances.

Anyway, to sum it up: yes, Duncan Castles has always been full of crap but he doesn't invent stories that are likely to piss Mendes off. And this one presumably would if Ronaldo was settled at United for the season, had no issues with ETH, etc. It's not about believing tabloid nonsense just because it paints Ronaldo in a bad light - it's about where this specific story is coming from.

Probably telling he never was made captain of a top club for any main spell. He has 0% altruism in him.

It’s always going to be this way with Ronaldo in the team. As soon as he isn’t happy we will all know it.

it must be hard for him. He’s not our best player anymore. He’s not the first name on the team sheet, then he must look across at city and see Haaland breaking records left right and centre. He must know he is coming for his records and he will probably break them. He’s also looking at messi getting back to his best.

he once said he doesn’t follow records, records follow him.. but it’s just not true. It’s all that matters to him.

Gonna be hard for haaland to match Ronaldo… he’s gonna have to hit about 37 goals a season for the next 15 seasons to catch up.
