Not without a condition he doesn’t play in the EPL again. He’s got something lined up to be prepared to cancel his contract here.
No condition outside of leaving the premises within 20 seconds otherwise we release the dogs. Today I don't rate him, I don't think that he was good for us this season and I don't care if he lukakus someone else in the PL.

Feck him, we’ll be much better off without him. Particularly if he goes to Chelsea so he can cause then more hassle.

It's a shame that nobody wants him. I would let him go anywhere to get him out the door. End the circus.

I refuse to believe he wants the contract terminated after United spent (£15m?) to sign him less than a year ago

Massive Ronaldo fan but if he’s asked to be released then we should do it. He will be a massive distraction whilst the manager is trying to implement his ideas.

We’ll probably save about 20m on his wages put that towards Sesko!

I have no idea either, yet.
He loves the club too bloody much, if anything Pt 462.
I remember the documentary maker who did that film thing about being asked to separate Roland the Footballer from Roland the Man, and he said he was genuinely worried about his decline and life after football, because really the man was only vague and defined wholly by being a footballer. I'd say he's totally mental and will look like Pete Burns in 30 years.

On a serious note, he does strike me as someone that could have a serious identity crisis at some point. From most account he is a nice person but he also seems to be weird.

It was a reasonable post until you typed this drivel You are comparing wishful thinking (Martial) with achievement (Ronaldo).
How is it drivel? A fit Martial who is playing most weeks is capable of contributing much more to the team in performances this year and as a foundation for the evolution of the squad and how EtH would play, rather than current Ronaldo.

That's objectively true. Martial has shown as a CF who is healthy that he can score goals and contribute very well as part of a functioning unit. Ronaldo isn't at that stage of his career anymore, which requires a sustained amount of defensive duties and awareness. In addition, to the wages Ronaldo commands against Martial, Ronaldo is a very expensive luxury player. There is no ready made team in club football for him anymore that is willing to take on his wages, his limit goal contribution which is very much dependent on service, and requires players who will do the running for him more times than not.

If we're being objective and less sentimental, the sooner Ronaldo leaves, the better it is for everyone. The EtH train won't stop for anyone. This is far from it being about Ronaldo now. He had his one comeback year and it didn't work out. Fine, let's just move on and call a spade a spade. Ronaldo isn't meeting the requirements of elite level football anymore and the demands it asks for.

He either stays and accepts what's he ask to do at whatever level/competition, or he continues to seek avenues to leave.

Just damage his United legacy he'll be placed alongside Di maria, Tevez and the likes. Absolute wanker, am sure he fell out with a lot of his teammates.

Ask Ronaldo to buy out his contract or rot on the bench. Taking the piss here.

Ronaldo knew what he was getting into when he signed that contract so good riddance to him. He should never have been signed in the first place but that chapter of United is hopefully behind us.

United legend my arse!

I hope the fans get a chance to let him know what they think if he ever plays at Old Trafford again.

100% . That's what the director / film maker bloke was saying and it was in earnest, in the middle of an already fairly serious interview, it definitely resonated at the time.

Abort the contract, save a huge amount of money on a player not worth it anymore, bring the dressing room back together (especially Bruno who is our best player and just incompatible with current Ronaldo), and then laugh as he still can't get a CL team except for one that will crash out early.

Also legend wise Rooney>>>>>>Ronaldo and always, always has been. Hopefully its finally clear to a lot of the brainwashed plebs that started supporting a player over the team itself.

Something is off here...very very off. Too much of this makes no sense to me.

This I will say. You let him off for free and it creates the mother of all bad precedents. You cannot let a player...ever...simply get out of a contract for nothing because they whine like a 3 year old. I love Ronaldo. But he's seems to be so obsessed with padding his CL goal total that he's lost his mind.

I'd do a swap deal for Werner...otherwise there's no way I'd allow freakin Ronaldo to have even the slightest chance of scoring an important goal against us in the Prem when we have him under contract for this year...

Is he going to be giving us half the transfer fee we paid Juve back out of his own pocket?

I want him gone, but the reality is we'd be left with no reliable striker if he went, and probably no money to buy one, and we're also not a charity.

I see him staying and coming off the bench about the 4th game of the season. We won’t be able to get rid and he’ll think MLS or United in the Europa.

My stance too. Definitely not on board with the “feck it” and let him join and strengthen Chelsea for free approach.

The club shouldn't give in here. Its like raising a toddler- if you give into their demands, you're asking for trouble. If he wants to leave that badly he can buy out his own contract. He's rich enough.
Exactly, 15m is peanuts to him. Pay up and off with you. At same time, it is vital that he leaves, our dressing room can't handle his ego, simple as.

This is going to end up with him at Chelsea, isn't it. United would never accept a bid from a prem team, and no other club in Europe would be stupid enough to sign him, so releasing him frees up that premier league option.
Chelsea would be a dumb move from him. Ignoring the fact that they’re a national rival, I actually predict them to fall out of the top 4 next season. Their quality of players also won’t get him the goals galore he’s hoping for. He’ll just have a slightly better version of last season for them which is really not worth burning the bridge with United for.

Not in my opinion, but each to their own.
100%, man. Just a thought that occurred seeing all the anger on here. Personally I'm not angered by his desire to leave - I think it could be a good thing for the team, Ten Hag and Ronaldo. He's clearly driven by personal goals in these last few seasons of his career and he's betting we can't deliver them for him - he's probably right but hopefully wrong.

I know he wants to leave us and I accepted this a few weeks ago. Happy to show him the door.

Strangely though, these antics don't taint his legacy for me. Maybe I just have a soft spot for the guy.

I'm not sure that bothers him, all things considered.

This is being handled so poorly by Ronaldo and his crew. The damage control that’ll need to happen if he doesn’t get his move away will be huge.
This fanbase already chanted his name for over a decade after he called himself a slave and departed the club at his prime. If he does stay, his weird fanboys and OT will be Siiiiuing and Viva Ronaldo ing within two weeks.

Question for people who are happy for his contract to be cut up:

Would you be happy if he went to Chelsea for nothing?

Yup - still up there as one of our best ever players. The club and Ronaldo are not in the same place right now - a move suits everyone.
