Oh comeo. Rashford has been shit for the past 18 months, Maguire given us 1 year of decent football and Shaw had given us even less then that. These players had downed tools long ago. There's a level of complacency at United that had survived the past 2 managers and was inherited by ETH as well. We have a squad who know that United can't replace them and wouldn't mind throwing anyone under the bus who irk them.
I genuinely think those three are a large part of the problem with every team we've had and every manager has had them in his first XI. I hope with Malacia we'll slowly see Shaw pushed out and just need to start with the other two - I hope Ten Hag thinks the same.

I find it hard to believe he eats alone when ETH has supposedly been strict on everyone eating together

He's our best goalscorer, but not our best striker because he still can't play the position at this level.
Perhaps, Martial has better dribbling and holding up play, but Ronnie is a better goal scorer. Anyway with Martial out again we have to keep Ronaldo this season because of our lack of options.

Where the grass is greener.
Maybe its wishful thinking that some level of harmony would be restored if he left, but at this point I'd very much like to find out. The atmosphere in the club hasn't been right since he came.

Our main problem is that the squad know that no matter what happens the club won't get rid of them. We are simply too incompetent to find buyers for them let alone replace them. There is zero reason for them to put the extra effort.

Of Ronaldo? You need to check out my post history mate.

One doesn't need to be his fan to see he doesn't like this current group.
That doesn't mean he should act like an angry teenager and not be a professional while he's at the club.

Agreed, they definitely feel like they will outlast any manager.

Of course it doesn't. He's always been an entitled prick, and now it's even more glaringly obvious when he can't deliver on the pitch as he used to. That's why he needs to leave for the benefit of all parties. Though I do concede we have no other options to play up front, nor do I see who we could go out and buy.

We're linked with about 3 strikers at the moment so hopefully we'll bring at least one in.
Apologies for misinterpreting your post and calling you a fan. :D

Keeping Ronaldo after not showing up to pre season as a huge mistake. In a new start you need players who are happy to be there and fully committed. Now we're going to endure a year of poor attitude and a constant distraction in an already broken dressing room. The club needs to make it clear that we haven't received any offers for Ronaldo.

We're being linked with forwards left and right so that we can let Ronaldo go.

Probably going to end up leaving isn't he.

If anyone is thinking that he will leave and suddenly the squad harmony will be great needs to give their head a shake though. It'll be the same, or worse.

I spent so much of last season defending ol' Flappy Turd, but I will defends no more.

He needs to leave, thanks for the return vibes, that two weeks were great.

I think you’re really downplaying the negative cloud someone like him is capable of providing. There’s a decent chance him going could cause the kind of galvanising effect that Jose going had.

Of course, who steps up to score goals is a worry, but it’s a chance we kinda have to take. Even when things are going great he’s a difficult character, I can only imagine how unbearable he must be at the moment.

We were told the same thing about Pogba leaving. It won't change anything. It's the overall culture of the club

Shit players on huge wages who don't try and then it spreads through the club

If I were taking over as United manager today I would tell the club don't even worry about transfers in yet. I'd strip the club right down and build from a solid base. How the likes of Phil Jones are still picking up over £100,000 per week is laughable.

I think ETH would've been quite excited to work with him. People don't think that working with a player as huge/famous as Ronaldo would actually be an exciting thing for a coach.

If you have one player upsetting the mood and getting special treatment over the rest then how are you supposed to build a team all pulling in the same direction?

I'm getting to the point where if Atleti offer us Morata and Lemar for Ronaldo I'd take it.

We need him out. But also we need to let everyone know he can go.
Make it public that if anyone pays 5-10 mill he is free to go this week and that he is welcome to buy out his own contract at that amount. If he is as good as he think he should easily be able to get that in a sign on fee.
We need to make it publicly clear that if players cannot support the manager and the club we do not want them.

Yep, this just means that there are still more players who stink up the place and needs to be binned.
Not to fussed about Ronaldo leaving. My son would be devastated though :(

The fecker is just trying to force the club into terminating his contract. I don't think it would be the wrong decision anyway.
I'd go as far as saying that we don't need a top class player to replace him. It's more valuable for ETH to have an active forward who can press than one who scores 15 a season but does nothing else during the game.
