I can't wait to hear the actual facts of this rather than leaks and rumours. I find it hard to believe that Ronaldo would be acting like this, by all accounts he's supposed to be only interested in winning, and creating a toxic atmosphere does not lead to that.

In any case, I still believe there are a number of causes to our situation, it cannot simply be one single player causing all the issues.
The guy has been trying to force to leave for 2 months now. Amazing how some people are still in denial over him.

Yeah and a few other wasters, weak mentality. It was him in the canteen that cost all them goals on Saturday, club are taking a hand out of fans with there agenda.
I don’t think it’s an agenda. I don’t believe this is some Pogba type bashing. We just all believe we cannot progress if we aren’t all looking to head in the same direction. He’s a big start.

Indeed. Still keep hearing guff like "he's a professional" and all he cares about is winning.

One day they'll cotton on that the bloke is a narcissistic cnut

I think sometimes in the past when we've had great players... like when we had Cantona, or even Ronaldo the first time around, you'll indulge them a bit. You accept that maybe you'll treat them a bit differently because of what they bring the team on the pitch.

I just don't think current Ronaldo is good enough to be indulged in our current situation where we are trying to build a team. I recall Neville talking about how they had to do some hard running in training and Ronaldo started to take it easy and said "too much water kills the plant". When he's playing like he did and winning you football matches week in, week out, you'd say fair enough. In our current situation though, if he's not wanting to take part in pressing drills etc. we can't indulge that sort of attitude.

Why ETH start him weekend. If he been giving negative influence in training then why start him?

Why didn't he play Rashford upfront against Brentford and play someone else on left. Would we have seen more running stats/pressing from the front then?

If true then he shouldn't be included for Liverpool game. Let him rot until we get rid.

Disaster the club on all levels. Doesn't look good for season If no changes done now.

Ronaldo only cares about Ronaldo.
Not a coincidence that it all turned to shit when he arrived last season and again when he returned to training after the pre-season tour.

The board have absolutely no idea what’s going to happen between now and the end of the month. Changing their minds on a daily basis.

Yeah let's get a striker who scored 7 goals last season for nearly 50m. Great shout.
It's not that simple though I'm afraid. I don't rate our current strikers but accept it can't be fixed in one window and Ronaldo is a problem.

Rashford, Martial Sancho, Cunha, Vardy and Elanga competing for the front 3 is far from ideal but its a necessary step to remove Ronaldo at this point and I'm a fan of his

I’m really really concerned about that line from Stone saying even if they don’t get a replacement, they’ll consider selling Ronaldo

I know Man United

That means they know they have to sell him but they don’t think they can get a replacement

Which would be suicide

I imagine the Glazers want him around to sell a few more shirts with his name on the back before he’s allowed to leave

No it wouldn’t. It would be far better if he left.
We may have no striker but we’d have a happy, functional team.

Agreed. We're short on attackers as it is and Ronaldo is by far and away the most competent of those attackers. Selling him and not replacing him would be completely insane.

If he’s as disruptive and divisive as being made out then tbh I’m happy for him to go under any circumstances.

The way the man is being scapegoated through the media and club leaks is disgusting. If he leaves and individual performances don't dramatically improve throughout the team, there are no more excuses or anyone for them to hide behind.

We’re not selling him. If he leaves it’s because we terminate his contract.

Nobody is willing to buy him. I believe he’s been offered a deal if he can get out of this contract.

Agreed, The split in the camp is probably still there and he is only one part of the problem(s).
Sooner he fecks off the better. His return has really left a bitter taste.

Give peas a chance.
Part of me thinks what happened in parallel universe where he actually signed for City.
Probs would have scored a bunch of goals, won the league with them and we'd all be moaning saying why didn't we get him in. Properly damned if you do, damned if you don't stuff.

Obviously hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I bet he ends up at Chelsea.
We should only sell him to them if they pay a fortune. Stupid to sell to him

I'd rather he just sit at home for a whole season than go to another PL club/cave into his pathetic attitude

I can sort of relate to how a negative person can create a toxic atmosphere. I play 5 a side with some of the dads from my daughters school. Our GK supposedly played for the Iran u14's back in the day, not sure if this was true but he is really good, definitely a few levels better than us.

He has very high standards, during matches was always shouting, wanted us fat boys to make runs we were simply incapable of making, all in all it was really pissing us off. He's left now (thank feck) and we play so much better as a team as there isnt a cnut shouting at us at every bloody minute of the game.

So, if Ronaldo is creating a toxic, negative atmosphere, get rid of him. This reminds me of Ruud towards the end, it was the right decision by Fergie to move him on and the team performed much better after he left.
