He is certainly playing within himself at this stage of the season because he knows his job is to win Juventus the champions league. But he has clearly lost a step at the same time, and at 34/35 with so many miles on the clock that’s hardly surprising as others have said. He remains a top class striker.I wouldn't write him off as being over the hill just yet, everytime that has been suggested in the past he has raised his game and gone on a crazy run of goal scoring.
One day time will catch up of course but if there has ever been a player I'd back to prove everyone wrong it is him.
