Lewis missing too many darts at doubles, 5-5 but could have been 8-2 up.
Just watched the highlights. Everyone seemed to struggle with the heat, unsurprisingly.
Seemed like Lewis had his chances but petered out at the end?

I thought Heta and Humphries might have good tournaments:lol: Cullen on form is an impressive watch though tbf and Asp has been finding some form again in the last month or two.

Humphries was picked by several pundits and was raging favourite vs Aspinall. Very impressed with Aspinall although. Lewis should have taken MVG who was way below it in fact one of his lowest averages.
I'll go with Michael Smith or Joe Cullen
Outside chance e.w Aspinall.

Humphries has been hitting massive averages winning Euro tour stuff. Maybe a bit too desperate to win his first major, but did seem to be struggling more in the heat.
DVD and Dimi have really stood out and maybe my e/w shouts but aren't they in the same part of the draw with Wright and Smith?

Quite a comeback there from Rob Cross (which of course I missed after turning it off with Dobey miles ahead).

Not a Dobey fan then?

Pyke is annoying, moaning that Clemens left a bogey when he couldn’t have left a finish, had 222 with 1 dart left (his 2nd deflected into T1)

Great game, KR will be kicking himself for missing the big 16 to give himself a dart to go 11-10 up and have the darts for the match.

What a night in store tonight by the way!

Gurney v Noppert
De Sousa v Cross
Price v Chisnall
Smith v van Duijvenbode

Wouldn't be surprised if it gets better as the night goes on!

The first two are really tough to call,at a push I'd go Gurney and Cross.
Price and Smith in the other two.
Should be a great night of darts.

Fecking Gurney, 6-3 down, does a no-look dart and misses the treble for a 140 that would have left a finish. Noppert follows up with a no-look 180 and goes on for the finish:

Chizzy just doing enough, just expecting Price to turn it up as The match seems a bit flat ATM

What a match that was!! Chuffed he won, wish he wasn't v potentially v the Asp in the semi cos if he wasn't I'd want him to win the whole thing ( I'll come back in half an hour! )

But again, what a fecking game, props to both dimitri and Wright

Think I’m right in saying that Wright, Aspinall and Jose all had the darts at 14-15 and each lost their throw to lose 14-16, goes to show that (arguably) the most important dart is the one you don’t see, the bull up at the back.

MVG can’t hit a double to save his life. All over the place.
