My original point was how anyone could be unsure of that. It was as blatant an offside as you’ll see the whole tournament. He wasn’t unsure, he missed it
@PoTMS

It was pretty clear to us but maybe he got caught out of position so it looked closer, that would certainly go back had it led to a goal.

Saudi's positioning when they lose the ball for a counter attack is woeful.

They're making Russia look like a combination of Man. City/Liverpool on the break.

Where is Arshavin?
Still playing in Kazakhstan apparently. Not sure what Pavlychenko is up to....

Really liked that 2008 Russian team, shame they ran into Spain as could've easily made the final that year. Outplayed Holland in the quarters.

Good game so far...
The Saudis seem ok on the ball, but probably taking to much risks. Russia should win this comfortably

What happened to Dzyuba aswell? Seemed before euro 2016 those two strikers were Russia's great hopes. One is injured and I presume the other is a back up on the bench.

Russia are awful. If KSA actually had a proper dangerman in the final third they'd be in trouble.

Great refereeing.

Smolov is either doing something brilliant or being the worst player on the park with no in between.

Can’t believe that wasn’t given.

Even if it was correct, surely he’s been given a Rolex by Putin to change it.

This. One of the best bits is watching countries you rarely see play. I can't remember seeing Saudi Arabia in a tournament since Japan/Korea 2002? (Unless they were at 06 and I've forgotten about them?)

Hoping that the opening ceremony is as bonkers as possible too.
Yes they made it at 06

It's been a pretty good match to be fair.
The passing has been very poor and Saudi defense is making life so easy for Russia but they can't benefit from it. Uruguay will defeat Saudi with 4-5 goals easily.

No hot babes from the crowd yet? I wonder if they are omitted because of the Saudis.

The full backs are so high and the midfield isn't protecting the back 2, its 2v2 at the back when Russia counter.

So so easy for Russia to counter once they win the ball by halfway line.
