We're getting into some great positions. Feels like a second might destroy Croatia's confidence.

Trippier is class. I can see why they didn't care about Walker leaving.

Perisic has been disappointing in this wc for me. I missed the Iceland match (in which he scored) so cannot comment on how he did that game.
He's the sort though if you give him free shot from 25-30 yards he wil often find the top corner. Seen him do it many times fo Inter.

England need to kill the game in this period badly. Should have been 2-0 already and the game will be done and dusted. With missing chances after chances they're just inviting Croatia into the game.

You'd honestly believe from Clive and Hoddles talk that England have always had pub players playing for them prior to this tournament.

I felt every time some team focused his side or he was up a against a decent winger his bad positioning was all too obvious but you are right he definitely improved over the course of the season.
Liverpool targeted him both times we played them with Salah and Young pocketed him twice.

Only bad thing about football coming home is that Dele Alli gets to win...

You should try judging a situation correctly if you're going to be smug about it.

He didn't give offside because Kane wasn't offside. When the ball crossed the line for a goal kick, the linesman put his flag up. For a goal kick.

That being said, it should obviously have been a corner.
No. Play was restarted with a free kick, taken from outside the six yard box. It was a free kick. Kane might not have been offside but it was given after allowing the goalscoring chance to play out, as linesman are instructed to do. Had the goal been scored, the flag would have gone up and VAR would have come into use.

The passing out from the back is so crucial to how England attack. They are inviting Croatia forward and then taking out their whole midfield with one long pass. It's very clever. Modric and Rakitic are being starved of the ball.

Oh Vida is the cnut that winked at Gomis after letting in a very suspect goal in that cl match where Lyon magically defeated Zagreb 7-1 so Lyon went through on goal difference.

The freekick wasn't taken from inside the 6 so doesn't look like it.
Exactly. If the ref raised his flag because the ball went out of play he should have given a corner since it was pretty obvious that the goalie was the last player to touch the ball before it went out.
