So who's better and are in better form out of Mexico and Poland? Of course the Poles have probably the best number 9 in the world up top for them
Hasn't played a whole lot for the national team, so far. Andreas Skov Olsen has been a starter for a while, and usually is very productive in the side. I'm sure Lindstrøm will work his way into the team soon, though.@Denmark fans: How comes Lindstrøm isn't a starter?
Yeah, it feels a bit like this semi-golden generation is limited by a complete draught up frontYou have very good defenders and midfield, but that upfront seems underwhelming, i feel you gonna pay the price for that missed header by Cornelius.
Your best hope is now that France smash Tunisia and Australia, so they don't get any point from France.
If you open up a WC with 3 points and no major injuries, everything is peachy fine.Becoming more and more content by our jammy win over Senegal.
Agreed and I like your team, Tunisia were up for it tbf and they do look like they won't concede many goals in the group but neither do you. Your number 11 (Olsen I think) was your only threat in attack and he was always isolated against 2 Tunisian defenders with no overlapping runs from the full backs to create space. I think you were far too conservative even though Tunisia weren't really much of a threat going forward.I think the ref was completely fine. Good even. Giving the penalty would be ridiculous considering we also had a hands earlier.
But it is Danish to complain tomorrow when the hangover is the biggest problem, I think most will agree the referee was the smallest problem
You should be. 3 points is 3 points.Becoming more and more content by our jammy win over Senegal.
Yep Hjulmand is usually tactically very good but 5 at the back today was a clear mistake.Agreed and I like your team, Tunisia were up for it tbf and they do look like they won't concede many goals in the group but neither do you. We're Holland. If we don't win 5-0 and have atleast 75% possession it doesnt count. You should be. 3 points is 3 points.
Imagine if the Haaland family were from a couple of hundred kilometres southYeah, it feels a bit like this semi-golden generation is limited by a complete draught up front
I am pretty confident still against France and Australia. I think these energitic and fighting teams are the worst fit for us
I thought it was an exciting game. What it lacked in quality was made up for in sheer passion, especially on Tunisia's part.ITV as ever trying to convince us it was an exciting game as if we weren't watching... had 0-0 written all over it from about 15 minutes in
I think the occasion got to us. Mæhle also said the same in the post match interview. I really like Olsen, could move to a bigger club than Brugge if the system fits. kristensen was a bit meh indeed on the right back. I think Bah or Wass should at least have gotten 30 minutesAgreed and I like your team, Tunisia were up for it tbf and they do look like they won't concede many goals in the group but neither do you. I was pretty young. But if remember correctly one of the best goals of WC94 was scored by SAWhat a goal
The Scandic countries have been unbelievably blessed with CF's over the years. England always seems to produce in that department also.Imagine if the Haaland family were from a couple of hundred kilometres south
Australia is all about pashun like Tunisia, very defensive, and limited with the ball as well, not sure is gonna be a secured win.Yeah, it feels a bit like this semi-golden generation is limited by a complete draught up front

Mexico have been in poor recent form but always seem to do well at international major tournaments. So who's better and are in better form out of Mexico and Poland? Of course the Poles have probably the best number 9 in the world up top for them
Another nil nil thenMexico-Poland feels like one of those insane WC games - goals galore, a sending off or two. Basing this on absolutely nothing besides the fact every world cup has one of those games and for some reason I feel this will be the one for it this year
Hoping there's some rough diamond in the Mexico side no one's seen play outside of Mexico, ala ChicharitoMexico have been in poor recent form but always seem to do well at international major tournaments.
Not speaking with hindsight. Certainly did not expect Saudi to win, but reading the thread was surprised at how crap people expected Saudi to be. They’re a pretty decent team. Can select from a large population, have money, and have been in quite a few world cups. That said was still expecting Argentina to win by 2-4 margin.Argentina are getting outdone for pure effort and determination here. You can’t underestimate anyone.
Mexico seem to have an ageing squad and didn't seem to be particularly good in qualifying as shown by Canada topping the North American qualifying. Hirving Lozano and Edson Alvarez are the standouts I think. So who's better and are in better form out of Mexico and Poland? Of course the Poles have probably the best number 9 in the world up top for them
Must admit I have not watched a minute of them since last time we met them in 2018. Maybe I am wrong. I just have bad experience playing shithousing (not saying Tunisia was that at all) fighting teams so 10/10 times I'd rather face a low block team than thatAustralia is all about pashun like Tunisia, very defensive, and limited with the ball as well, not sure is gonna be a secured win.
You better score fast against Australia, or it be ugly.
I'm sure I'm missing something and I hope you're right, but I don't think I've ever seen Poland involved in an interesting match at any point over the last 10 years.Mexico-Poland feels like one of those insane WC games - goals galore, a sending off or two. Basing this on absolutely nothing besides the fact every world cup has one of those games and for some reason I feel this will be the one for it this year
There already is onedo we need a Women of the World Cup thread????
The Tunisian crowd was fantastic today. Don't expect anything close to that from Australia. It was clear they helped the team a lot today.Australia is all about pashun like Tunisia, very defensive, and limited with the ball as well, not sure is gonna be a secured win.
You better score fast against Australia, or it could get ugly.
You have to cheer for France later so aussies get 0 points from them.
I feel like Denmark have always been more blessed with midfielders and creators than strikers to be honest. The best Danish striker in my lifetime is JDT, and he was pretty decent but nowhere near Zlatan and Haaland. The Scandic countries have been unbelievably blessed with CF's over the years. England always seems to produce in that department also.
A draw is more than a fair result. They were in the second half, Tunisia didn't even have a shot on goal, only defending the whole second half.
Denmark need better strikers, having Cornelius upfront seems very underwhelming, dude can't score to save his life.
I wouldn't because I don't like Sterling at allWasn't close to the ball. If that was Sterling instead of Mæhle you would be fuming
We have not had a extremely decisive striker since Elkjær. Sand, Jon Dahl, Bendtner have all performed OK. But considering we have relied on Cornelius, Dolberg, Jørgensen, Braithwaite and Poulsen the last 10 years I think we deserve a break there.I feel like Denmark have always been more blessed with midfielders and creators than strikers to be honest. The best Danish striker in my lifetime is JDT, and he was pretty decent but nowhere near Zlatan and Haaland.
