Indeed. I think the common consensus has always been VAR it’s self isn’t the problem, it’s the sheer incompetence of the officiating in the Premier League. It worked fine in the world cup too. Give a set of fools a really good drill they are still going to cut themselves. The problem is & always has been the refs themselves.
Macedonia are a bit like Leeds. Shite, but not afraid to attack a bit.

I’ve been very impressed with the European refs as well.
I’ve been a massive hater of VAR, I think I always will be, but if we can get our refs up to this sort of standard it will be much more acceptable to fans like myself who currently detest it.

They could play out a draw and both qualify.
That’s a possibility but not a guarantee. Looking at the group tables, a lot of teams could still finish on 4 points in 3rd place and it could come down to GD on who advances.
