Giggs has been spending a bit of time back at the club over the past year!!His Mrs got pregnant recently. I'm praying it isn't what I think it is.

Yeah they will get tested to the limit on SundaySink or swim time for Hendo. Lets see how he handles the Maguire-Lindelof partnership in front of him.
Already looks to be getting set to punch the ball. Can’t anybody catch anymore?
No. He was utterly dreadful in a Wigan home game that we were 4-3 up after like 30 minutes. Dave got his spot back and never looked back.I remember De Gea's first season Lindergard was playing well then went off on paternity leave and hardly played again, could lightning strike twice ?
I would hope it depends on how well Henderson does. If he comes in and does significantly better during these games than De Gea has been for the last three seasons, then the hope is that Henderson keeps his spot.Asvan England fan i hope Henderson does really well but he's getting dropped regardless when De Gea is back.
There's no way Ole gives time off for paternity leave and then says "sorry, you fecked off so you've lost your spot". He's not Roy Keane!
Well it's as good an excuse as any. It obviously wouldn't be as blunt as that but if Henderson plays well in this period that could be the catalyst for making the change permanent.Asvan England fan i hope Henderson does really well but he's getting dropped regardless when De Gea is back.

If she gave birth in Manchester Royal Infirmary then he'd probably be playing tomorrow.a whole month off for the birth of a child seems like a lot no?
its not like footballers don't get plenty of free-time anyway
I wonder if Ole felt like it was a good opportunity to give Hendersen a proper run, without having to "drop" Dave
ah fair enough, had no idea she gave birth overseasIf she gave birth in Manchester Royal Infirmary then he'd probably be playing tomorrow.
What with having to travel to Spain, the covid restrictions and the international break coming up, it seems like a month off I guess.
Yeah, I didn't realise he was married but his wife lives in a different country. That'll be even harder for them both now there's a baby.ah fair enough, had no idea she gave birth overseas
Yeah I am hoping this is going to be the case as well but absolutely convinced DDG will come straight back into the team after the international break and Deano will be back to being just the cup keeper againI would hope it depends on how well Henderson does. If he comes in and does significantly better during these games than De Gea has been for the last three seasons, then the hope is that Henderson keeps his spot.
Unfortunately you are probably right though.
He had another two fantastic seasons after that, including arguably his best of all in 17/18. Then he went to the World Cup at the end of that season, had a shocker and has never got anywhere near that top level again.Maybe it would've been better for everyone if that fax machine had worked!
Yeah but will Ole see that way of thinking is the big question thoughA great opportunity for Henderson here.
If he does excellently, he can keep the shirt, if he doesn't he'll have to bide his time a bit more.
De Gea still has 2 years on his insane contract, and I think an option for another the year after.
I still think the most likely event if that he's still first choice next year - eat that contract down.
It's quite difficult, as we've got one keeper on probably top 5 in the league wages, and the other one on probably top 4 keeper in the league wages!Yeah but will Ole see that way of thinking is the big question though
Yeah there is no doubt Deano will have plenty of work to do tomorrow with the confidence flowing through them right now, also think that West Ham will definitely cause us some problems in the league game next Sunday as well particularly the likes of Bowen & Antonio. I haven't mentioned about the cup games as he would definitely have played those games whatever the situation with De Gea but not these league ones I am certain of thatIt's quite difficult, as we've got one keeper on probably top 5 in the league wages, and the other one on probably top 4 keeper in the league wages!
With the former having 2 years minimum left on his deal, and the latter having had a great season at a lowly team, where keepers often stand out due to the lower expectations and tonne of shots they face. They can't really lose, as if they concede plenty it's expected, and if they save a lot, as will happen as they face so many shots, it gives an unrealistic idea of their level.
But until now, Hendo hasn't had enough challenging games to see if he can deal with the United excperience, way higher pressure, fewer shots against, and more game changing nature of the saves he will have to make.
See Romero - loads of cleanies, but played a lot of the lesser cup games.
A great opportunity for Henderson here.

Might be the case but I'm willing to give up De Gea's shot stopping abilities for Henderson's command of his area. It's very plain to see that De Gea does not come off his line and it's had a bad effect on the team.English players tend to get overrated and I am seeing this as a case of "be careful with what you wish for", actually think De Gea is still a better keeper than him even though he has declined.
Agree with this. de Gea is obviously the better shot stopper, but my feeling is that the team would overall be better off with Henderson as #1. Time will tell though.Might be the case but I'm willing to give up De Gea's shot stopping abilities for Henderson's command of his area. Probably due to the quarantine needed. Andy Mitten said he's exempt but Ole said he'd have to quarantine which makes sense as he travelled for personal reasons and not work.5 games will cover two weeks starting from today, which is the max length of paternity leave. Maybe he is just getting a few extra days to make flights etc., thereby missing a potential sixth. He won't be gone for a month.
Ah right. I actually forgot about quarantine.Probably due to the quarantine needed. Andy Mitten said he's exempt but Ole said he'd have to quarantine which makes sense as he travelled for personal reasons and not work.
I think it’ll end De Geas time here. He’ll move back to Spain in the summer to be with his family and we’ll have Henderson next season with a few months as our first team keeper.Absolute ballsy move from De Gea to opt for some paternity leave with Henderson chomping at the bit. Made Ole’s life much easier.
Silent domination. Not having much to do is also a good sign of organisation with the CBsIts weird, he didnt have much to do but you would think he was having a worldie listening to Gary
