Im using demonoid but I've noticed no faster speeds than any torrent from any other site.

You need it register. You can't use their tracker without the code.

External sites tend to offer better download speeds because you get a bunch of leechers who can all blend in with the people who like to seed and they hit and run meaning it is much more active ie. it is faster to download.
The thing with demonoid is that the community there is, for the most part, a seeding community, and the torrents there are exactly what they say they are - you will not download software that has anything malicious in it, or a virus. Demonoid is a safer bet.
