Are the Italian clubs just using the buy options to get loan deals now? They figured a smart way to manoeuvre around the permanent deal obligations.
He could really kick on there and come back to challenge AWB, he’s never had a proper run in the side to be judged. Hope this deal goes through.Tweet

Yeah basically, they have no intention of making these moves permanent but use it as a way to incentivise clubs to loan them players. It’s clever, if an obvious tactic. Are the Italian clubs just using the buy options to get loan deals now? They figured a smart way to manoeuvre around the permanent deal obligations.
Not been fit. He's been injured for like 18 months since joining us and the chances he's got most recently have been as a winger. He's not getting ahead of AWB at this point.I wonder what he's done to be so massively out of favour. Didn't seem that bad at all when he played but I completely trust Ole's judgement.
We're getting played by the Italian clubs but then again we've put ourselves in that position by having a bloated squad full of mediocre players on high wages. That would be great if it worked out like that. I wanted Dalot to do well and am sure there is a quality footballer in there. He could really kick on there and come back to challenge AWB, he’s never had a proper run in the side to be judged. Hope this deal goes through.
It's creative accounting. Stops them from getting slammed by FFP.Are the Italian clubs just using the buy options to get loan deals now? They figured a smart way to manoeuvre around the permanent deal obligations.
He seriously lacks any cutting edge to make it at the top level. Maybe the United move came too soon for him? Maybe he's just doesn't want it enough? Either way he's been absolutely average. That Uruguayan lad we had at RB was miles better.Such a weird signing. Has never looked anywhere near the "next best RB" we were lead to believe he was.
Meh at defending, meh at going forward. Such an un-noteworthy player for us.
Varela! There was definitely a potential cult-hero vibe to him. Both nowhere near the standard. Although he fact Dalot cost roughly 10x the amount Varela did does leave a pretty bitter taste. He seriously lacks any cutting edge to make it at the top level. I join your minority. Injuries didn't do him any favours as it's hard to show improvement and impress if you can't even play, but I don't think Solskjaer ever fancied him anyway.I'm probably in the minority but I always though Dalot looked technically decent and had potential.
Let's say we want to move into the 21st century and play with a fullback that provides something going forward rather than all defence and no attack. Not saying this new FB has to necessarily be Dalot, but what if we loaned him, he played a considerable amount at Milan and played really well in an attacking sense, all the while we improved our centre backs. Then at the end of the season/summer we make the decision to put AWB as second choice because our defence is stronger due to better CB and instead we need output from the RB which could be what Dalot could become at Milan. Or it could be a new player entirely. Not been fit. He's been injured for like 18 months since joining us and the chances he's got most recently have been as a winger. Even on his best days it was clear as hell he had no capability to defend. Fans out of desperation wanted him to play as RW when going forward he was pretty mediocre too. What's the verdict on him then? Player with potential who just didn't work out, or bad scouting?
We took a punt at 20m on what looked to be a very talented player, could have been a master stroke, didn't work out as expected. What's the verdict on him then? Player with potential who just didn't work out, or bad scouting?
He never seemed to have that doggedness that is needed of a fullback. Williams has it in full and I'm looking forward to seeing him getting those back up right back minutes now if Telles arrives.Even on his best days it was clear as hell he had no capability to defend. He has decent chances. They only have Calabria and Conti as RBs, and Conti is injured. Neither is a world beater.Does he even get into the Milan team?
That's for damn sure, remember everyone was hoping we'd got the next best thing before his star could take off such was the few games he'd played for Porto, should have known it would go the other wayThe United move came too early for him. Should have been loaned out. Hope he gets plenty of game time in Italy
I wouldn’t worry about that seeing we now have TFM as our back up if AWB gets an injuryDoes he even get into the Milan team?
Or maybe he just wasn’t any good in the first place.Another young player who's pissed away a couple of key years of his development at United.
Should be a warning to any young player considering this club.
He should never have been bought. Baffling how we scouted Porto but decided on him over Pereira who left the same summer and is one of the best in the PL.Another young player who's pissed away a couple of key years of his development at United.

He wasn’t good enough. Sometimes these deals work, sometimes they don’t.Another young player who's pissed away a couple of key years of his development at United.
