All time Dominoes draft
Welcome to the all time dominoes draft. Its a football fantasy draft, where like the popular board game Dominos you have to pick a player which forms a link with the player picked by previous manager. Here are the rules in nice bullet points:
- We'll all draft 14 players. Round 1-7 we draft downward, so after last manager its turn of first manager again. Round 8-14 we'll draft upward, last manager would get a double pick in round 8, which would balance him being last for first 7 rounds. This way you have chance to get revenge on anyone who stitched you up.
- We would pick a player at random from last draft winning team of invictus, that player would be ineligible to be picked in the draft but would start the chain.
- Every manager must pick a player that has played with the player previously picked (in case of first manager the randomly selected player). Both Club and International tournaments work, but both players must have been on the pitch at the same time. Every manager who picks a player must also post a proof of the two players having played together.
- Only the following International tournaments are accepted (No Friendlies):
- Only the final stage for any of the tournaments -
- World cup
- European Championship (No CEIC)
- Copa America
- African Cup of Nations
- Club friendlies / pre season tour games do not count but super cups / charity shields do.
- There are no time limits as we can't really move on without everyone picking and leaving their picks is hard (You can still guess and leave picks accordingly at least in first few stages). So everyone please try to check the thread as much as possible. The time commitment for this draft is probably higher than other ones so please plan accordingly.
- With every pick please also indicate how much time you took to make the pick. Draws in the draft games would be settled according to the least time taken.
- Matches are the usual 24 hours game, with no substitutions allowed and only tactical changes could be done. Draws as mentioned before would be decided in the favor of player who took less overall time drafting. If thats same we'll do a Penalty shootout.
- After every game there would be one reinforcement, downward before QF, upward before SF and Lamb style before final. All players are available to draft but they have to follow the chain rule, that is the first reinforcement must be a player who has played with the last drafted player whether they are still in the game or eliminated.
