He shold be called upon by all fans to explain himself. How did he think signing a Ukrainian league player and a kid with 7 professional games to his name would bridege the 30-odd points gap between us and City last season?
In fairness, thank goodness he didn't let us spend 75m on Maguire, and not much less on Perisic eh?

If Ed had any sense he’d act now and remove Ole. He’s way out of his depth.

Not a chance the club should trust ole with a bumper transfer kitty, we’ve a really important summer ahead and the joker in charge will cock it up.

Hopefully they realize the size of the rebuild in terms of personnel. Really need to be ruthless in getting rid of the dross and need to go big in all the players we need. 5 starting 11 players simply with blatant gaps in the squad. Then raising the quality of depth at the squad and replacing those who arent good enough. Even our "good" positions arent great or are underperforming. Shaw is average but is no better than the left backs at any of the other top 6, but also the left backs at the mid table sides like digne, chilwell, van aanholt, Jonny, holebas, masuaku, etc. Literally just that level. And that's the only part of our defence who we dont feel like needs replacing. Says it all.

From the footballing side, he's running our club into the ground.

From the financial side, he's doing an amazing job.

What is your master plan after that?

We have been in this position because of our recruitment strategy and lack of direction. That’s on Ed not on Ole.

If you think sacking ole and getting someone in the summer, is going to improve us, you are clearly mistaken.

Atleast, he has now worked with this squad and knows what needs to be done to fix it. If we get a new man in then he is going to allow these same players to prove themselves to him and waste another year.

I think his fiancial prowess is often over stated, the way he deals with contracts and transfer fees means any revenue stream he's managed to generate is already accounted for.

We need to rebuild at a much higher level in the club's structure, replacing managers will just repeat the same results over and over again. We need to replace Woodward with a proper football person who has experience in running a big club and replace some of the Glazers on the board of directors with people who actually know how to manage a football club.

I’m genuinely seething when I read this. It never stops coming up. Any fecking idiot with a business degree would make money with this club in today’s world. It is not impressive or a testament to his skill. We are a ready made cash cow as being absolutely shite while raking in money proves. Time to stop standing back and acting like he has some Midas touch. Get any fecker that’s won the apprentice in and they’ll do the same.

We need to get rid of the Glazers. Once that happens everything else will fall into place.

Needs to go. Didnt back Jose then sacks him. Should have waited until end of the season but awards Ole the job much earlier . Now he cant sack him as that will prove he made a mistake .

Our cost structure is out of control. Matchday revenues are flat. Our competitors are catching up to us on sponsorship revenues. Amazing job indeed...

It's on Woodward for not investing in January.

One or two signings could have made the difference and we need those signings anyway.

We need a manager with the right credentials and who can organise the team as a starting point, there’s loads more attributes but let’s start with the basics!

Ole is not the man to take us forward, we’ve let the emotion and romance take over when we appointed him, we had a good run in the first few weeks before his management and tactics took hold but now it’s gone to pot which tells you all you need to know in my view.

Like who?

And what makes you think these set of players who have failed under 3 managers would suddenly become world class under this new manager?

He's obsessed with being a celebrity these days IMO which reminds me of Jerry Jones and George Steinbrenner (granted those two were owners in addition to being massively involved in day-to-day ops). The NBCSports analysts are now calling him out for such but also suggesting he'll never cease his power that has been granted by the Glazers, which means a DoF will have little more than a fancy title and decent salary.

United are going down the road of the likes of the Cowboys (late 90s to current day) and Yankees (post 70s through mid-90s). The Yankees managed to address internal problems as a result of Steinbrenner's mega-ego and wrestled some control from him by the early 90s, massively aided by his banning from direct involvement in ops in July 1990. He was reinstated in 1993 but permitted management to retain much control but he soon became obsessed of doing his way following the 2001 WS loss and went "galactico" signing stars to inflated contracts thereafter (against the wishes of his GM). Management again wrestled some control back mid-2000s and ultimately won another title. There were a couple strong personalities in the club with Michael, Cashman, Showalter, and Torre over the years that were able to reign him in at times.

The Cowboys have been stuck in a run of mediocrity since the late 90s thanks to Jerry Jones' ego. Jerry is a big media whore and enjoys the spotlight. Even with his sons, Stephen and Jerry Jr, assuming more control over the past decade, Jerry still runs the ship and makes most of the big decisions. Stephen has managed to convince his dad otherwise on occasion (like selecting Martin over Manziel in 2013 for example). Many of the fans (I'm included) often think Jerry prefers any kind of publicity be it positive or negative as it keeps the Boys in the spotlight. Winning is good but it does not affect their bottom line - they basically print money such is how popular (and hated) they are and how the league shares revenues. Things likely will not change until Jerry is gone (which likely won't happen until death). There is no counter to Jerry in this club, he's the owner/president/general manager, and no other president/general manager would have lasted five years let alone twenty years with this track record.

You know. Our managerial appointments haven't been bad. Where things go wrong is not having a football savy ceo to pull the plug on them while we're still ahead.

Please enlighten me with a detailed breakdown of Woodward’s economic achievement and clarify how any qualified person would not achieve similar or surpass what he’s done.

This myth that he’s some sort of financial guru needs to die, he spent 52m on Fred ffs! Keep swallowing the spin he plants with his pr buddies. United are an absolute global machine.

No you’re right, let’s leave Ole in charge because he used to play in a successful United team a few years ago. The fact he’s never managed at the top level is irrelevant.
So not like LVG or Jose? who managed in top level and won many things.

I am right? with what ? suggesting LVG or Jose?
