I'll most probably be banned for this but I don't understand : a very talented young player chose the better team, the better teammates, the better coach, the better managment... What is there to debate?
"What is the difference between a church and a cathedral? ... The cathedral is a much larger place of worship than a church and is run by a bishop. A church is run by a group of clergymen or priests. The bishop usually resides on the cathedral premises."What?
The debate is how we refused to put release clause in his contract because "We are Manchester United".I'll most probably be banned for this but I don't understand : a very talented young player chose the better team, the better teammates, the better coach, the better managment... Enjoy your ban traitor.I'll most probably be banned for this but I don't understand : a very talented young player chose the better team, the better teammates, the better coach, the better managment... What is there to debate?
I'm as sad and disapointed as anyone here. But every word I wrote is true.Enjoy your ban traitor.
It's been 2.5 months, all fair.Best striker I've seen this decade, and it's not even close.
Imagine our club was being run properly, we could have Haaland, Pogba, Bruno, etc. Instead we're fecking around with this dross season after season... soon we will turn even Bruno into shite
Yep, same. Something about an absolute thunder bastard from outside the box like that. You don't really see strikers hit balls like that anymore, they'd rather get closer and place it in the corner. That second goal last night...
I was off my seat when I saw it, real top class stuff.
That's not up to them to decide. They wanted to dance with the devil and they have no say in his departure when the time comes.Hopefully Dortmund will grow a backbone and not be held hostage to a transfer this time. Would be lovely to see Raiola cut out of the deal entirely but personally I think they'd do well to even get a reasonable fee that properly reflects his ability and growing reputation.

I think he might. I guess it will depend a lot on when this sick run of form stops if it ever does, and how quick he can get back to it if so. If he just continues like this he'll likely move within possibly a year or two at the latest. How long do you think he’ll stay at Dortmund? Was discussing with some lads at work and one was convinced bigger clubs will be in for him in the Summer!
Did clubs sleep on him in January? Will he go elsewhere within 2 years do you think?
Except that this is just a poor excuse from us when he didnt want to come here. I dont even think he would have that clause if he wanted to come here. And all of us can see how right his decision was though, just like when he snubbed Juve to go to RB Salzburg. He wouldnt be this good at United. The debate is how we refused to put release clause in his contract because "We are Manchester United".
We are spending ridiculous money on average players but we make a stand when we can get amazing talent. That is the problem
This is gonna be the one that got away, our tale of heartbreak, until the next shiny object comes along... (and signs for someone else).Saddle up boys, this is only gonna get worse for the next two years until he gets injured. He is just something else and will keep improving. He is too hungry to end up like a Martial or one of those spoilt talents.
Release clause is a free for all. If we can lure him personal wise then release clause would only help.He looks an amazing talent. However I still stand what i said few months ago. His release clause in 2022 could have been triggered by anyone, including City n Liverpool and we'd have been helpless to stop it.
All the fans moaning we didn't get him now would have had lost the plot totally had we got him and lost him to rival in 2022. Just not meant to be. Maybe we will kick on and be the club to trigger the clause in 2022 though. That's what we have to aim for surely.
If he helped us to go into the top four for three seasons in a row and challenge for the league/UCL then I think it would've been worth it. It would help elevate our status as genuine contenders in the league and also UCL, which would help us get better players in front of Pool and City.He looks an amazing talent. However I still stand what i said few months ago. His release clause in 2022 could have been triggered by anyone, including City n Liverpool and we'd have been helpless to stop it.

Aguero? Suarez? Lewandowski?Best striker I've seen this decade, and it's not even close.

I don't understand that logic. First of all even if he leaves 2022 you still had player who scored goals for you and you end up with profit. This mentality around United how every player must stay 10 years in club is ridiculous. He looks an amazing talent. However I still stand what i said few months ago. I respect Dortmund. Big club with fantastic fans and they are perfectly organised. But despite everything, Man Utd is level above. And to think that player chose them while having the same ( or better) offer from us is delusional.People just don't see the irony in their posts. Blaming Manutd for being arrogant and not signing Haaland when they are arrogant enough to believe that we rejected the player instead of player rejecting us for better development club for him. They are arrogant enough to believe whole footballing world revolve around ManUtd.
You want me to give list of players who chose smaller clubs for their development? Thinking young player will always choose team with big wages or big club is delusional. Not every player plan their career in the same way. There are players who move to clubs where they see they can develop better and they also have safety net of release clause to move when they wish to.I respect Dortmund. Big club with fantastic fans and they are perfectly organised. But despite everything, Man Utd is level above. And to think that player chose them while having the same ( or better) offer from us is delusional.
You have many reports( now it is up to you will you believe it) that we didn't want to give him what Dortmund gave him. We give to dross players +100k per week contracts and overpay players from PL clubs but we decided to make a stand when we could have bought top talent.
We missed to buy Haaland for 17mil but we bought squad player from championship for that money ffs. Where is logic in that?
At this rate they'll struggle to keep him beyond the summer, Juve, Madrid etc. all need a new striker.Poor Dortmund. After 2,5 years they will lose him for 60 mil.
The guy is right. Goals this decade:Aguero? Suarez? Lewandowski?
No doubt the boy is talented but still too early for that claim.
Making the right choice at the right moment, I don´t think there is much more to say. Dortmund is the perfect opportunity for young players to grow. There are largely enough examples of young players who crashed at "big clubs".I respect Dortmund. Big club with fantastic fans and they are perfectly organised. But despite everything, Man Utd is level above. And to think that player chose them while having the same ( or better) offer from us is delusional.

Yeah, he only chose RB Salzburg over Juventus last time. I would bet that he would even turn down Real Madrid or Liverpool as well, just because how much more difficult it would be for him and how much less playtime he would get.I respect Dortmund. Big club with fantastic fans and they are perfectly organised. But despite everything, Man Utd is level above. Anyone who doesn't think this should be banned.I'll most probably be banned for this but I don't understand : a very talented young player chose the better team, the better teammates, the better coach, the better managment... What is there to debate?
He’s being sarcasticI'm as sad and disapointed as anyone here. But every word I wrote is true.
I mean you're the type of poster who would be the first to moan had we got him then then lost him for the rumoured £60m in 2022 to maybe City or Liverpool etc.I don't understand that logic. First of all even if he leaves 2022 you still had player who scored goals for you and you end up with profit. This mentality around United how every player must stay 10 years in club is ridiculous.
But why should he leave if someone wants to pay release clause? Are we some midtable club who is helpless in that situation? We are big and rich. If something we can do is that we can match any wage which would be offered to him.
I was not much into signing him but for 20 mil( plus agent fees) we could have sign top top talent. And we fecked it up.
