Yeah, based on recent results it might seem Serie A have outperformed Premier League so far this season but English teams were amazing in the group stage. Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester City and WHU all topped their group while Liverpool and Manchester United collected 15 points out of 18 and finished 2nd just because of H2H.. Very close to perfection.
On the other side, Serie A clubs were bang average and only Napoli won their group.

That's why in the seasonal ranking Premier League is slightly above, in the Knock-out stage Serie A have performed much better than England but still not enough to close the gap.
If Italy brings home 2 trophies then will end the season at the top otherwise once again Premier League will secure 1st place for the third year in a row

For those who may blame the Stewards. They are not trained to control massive crowds coming at them like that, they are there more to deal with individuals, not stuff like that. Thatvis the responsibility of the police

5 Italian teams reach the semi finals.
2 PL ones.
That’s what they were saying… Italians performed better in the KOs so far. But England has an overall (marginally) better performance when group stage is included (Chelsea winning its group over Milan is a good exemple of that). The worst English side (Arsenal) did better than the worst Italian side (Lazio). Which gives us an overall better English performance. 22,4 vs 22,2 pts. (Germany 17,1 and Spain 16,4).

But in KO games Italians have been brillant. Out of the 7 Italian clubs only Lazio and Juve have been knocked out by non Italian opposition. 2 teams lost to Italian opponents and the other 3 made the finals of their respective competitions.

Better draws can explain that. UEFA coefficient is ultimately the only real measure we have to compare, and the PL is still ahead, if by a very small margin

Tbf, Italy's coefficient is dragged down entirely by Lazio's abysmal 9 points. But also City and West Ham performed better than any italian side too

Stadium with a capacity of 20,000 seems a little low for a European final. The two teams only have a 5,000 allocation each, clearly both are going to have way more than that travelling to Prague and UEFA don't exactly have the greatest record for organisation.

What’s with the tiny stadium they’re playing in? Any European final should warrant at least a 40,000 seater stadium regardless of who’s playing but a stadium that’s under 20,000?

Is this even Fiorentina's strongest team? Surprised Ikone and Cabral are on the bench anyway.

West Ham to win this 1-0 from a set piece.

It was just explained on Dutch TV. Uefa did not expect popular teams to reach the finals and after last year's final between Feyenoord and Roma they decided they needed a bigger venue but contracts were already signed for this year's final. For next year they want a minimum capacity of: Wait for it: At least 30K.

Which is just idiotic. What did they think the bigger Italian, Spanish, French and English clubs would do in this comp? Take it easy? Fairly straight forward shot at reaching at minimum a European quarter final before you actually face anyone decent.

If an Italian team played like West Ham did in the first 25 minutes, They'd say that Serie A is shit, boring and only catenaccio
They spend hundreds of millions to buy great players and then they look like Getafe.. Seeing Paquetà playing DM and Bowen as RB it hurts

How the hell isn't that a foul on Antonio? That's the most blatant foul I've ever seen.

Feck West Ham... but on what planet is that not a foul?

This ref has lost the plot. This could become a farce.

Why were both clubs moaning about the stadium size being small? Loads of empty seats visible on the broadcast.
