This. Really underwhelming list of teams left.
Is it that big difference? I think the only difference is the Spanish teams are worse than Sevilla last time.

Then Inter last year was stronger than Ac Milan this year.

Apart from that you have a similar set of teams left although some of the stronger sides got knocked out already.

Some of these teams left, man. We should not be in this tournament. Can’t believe we didn’t win just 1 of the 3 games we lost in the CL. Gaaah.
This Europa League is alot weaker then last season.
This. Really underwhelming list of teams left.

Not sure where this is coming from. This year there's Arsenal, Tottenham, United, AC Milan, Roma, Shakhtar, Villareal and Ajax.

Last years last 16 was, with bolded teams in both years

İstanbul Başakşehir (TUR) vs Copenhagen (DEN)
Olympiacos (GRE) vs Wolves (ENG)
Rangers (SCO) vs Leverkusen (GER)
Wolfsburg (GER) vs Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR)
Internazionale Milano (ITA) vs Getafe (ESP)
Sevilla (ESP) vs Roma (ITA)
Eintracht Frankfurt (GER) vs Basel (SUI)
LASK (AUT) vs Manchester United (ENG)

If anything last years was weaker or at best 50/50

I mean when you see those remaining teams, this is a guilt edge opportunity for Ole to finally win a trophy. Even Europa specialists Sevilla aren’t involved this year. There should be no one we fear and geography could be irrelevant given the randomness of where teams are having to play ‘home’ games now. I’d like Rangers for the banter but weirdly, that would arguably be the hardest draw along with Spurs.

I'd have loved to see Arsenal and Tottenham knocked out.

Mixed feelings about Leicester going out. As regards this competition, it's a tough opponent gone. But it'll help them in the league and it means they now have a free midweek ahead of our FA Cup meeting next month, rather than both of us having come off a EL 2nd leg on the Thursday night. That's now an even tougher Q/F match.

Yep a tough FA Cup quarter final has become even tougher now.

I don’t mind a tough side now
Let’s knock them out now so that we can have an easy semi final

For those hoping for Rangers, I warn you that the pitch at Ibrox might be a bit of a leveller, as it's really poor just now.

A lot of overconfidence here. We've been so poor lately I think two legged ties against several of those teams would be a struggle

Dream draw would be Molde just because of the meaning for Ole but would take any of Granada, Young Boys, Zagreb, Slavia (yes know they beat Leicester), or Ajax. I only want to avoid the likes of Kiev, Shakhtar & Olympiakos because of the long journey involved. I see the fellow british teams along with Roma, Villarreal & Milan as real potential banana skins who would we have to field our best team against.

That's interesting. Seven teams currently top in their league with four in second place, and no teams from Germany.

Interesting to see the league positions but not sure it counts for much in a cup competition, personally I don't fancy our chances against either of the other PL sides but maybe that's just me being a bit negative

Hopefully Olympiakos so we get to play at home twice !
Avoiding United and Spurs would be pretty nice. Anyone else will give us a game anyway since we managed to almost feck it up against a club in full blown crisis like Benfica...
Villareal to face Emery would be funny too. :nervous:

Don’t care who we get from a quality point of view. If we were in the CL RO16 instead of EL, we’d be delighted to get any of these teams. It’s not like Atletico, Sevilla, Chelsea or Inter dropped down as in previous years. I suppose Molde would be fun because Ole used to manage them, but Arsenal, Milan or Rangers would be good too. Spurs not really because they aren’t really a big club.

In order of teams I want to avoid

Tottenham
AC Milan
Arsenal
Roma
Ajax
Shakhtar
Dynamo Kyiv
Villarreal
Grenada
Rangers
Prague
Young Boys
Dynamo Zagreb
Olympiacos
Molde

We'd be odds on favorites to beat all but Spurs, Milan, and Arsenal. Roma and Ajax are having very good seasons and it's always tough to go to Ukraine. Villarreal are having a similar season to our last opponents, but are well managed and have some decent players like Alcacer and Torres (That prick who broke Shaws leg is there as well, so I'd like to avoid them)

Olympiakos must be the most easy draw. You don’t have Pablo Rosario in your team so can’t see United losing that one.

Solskjaer vs Molde would be epic

But Zagreb, Olympiakos etc - would also be nice

Particularly annoying because the standard in the CL isn't fabulous this season. Juve, Real, Liverpool, PSG and Barca nowhere near as strong as previous years. The best 2 teams are Bayern and City by quite a distance.

Really hoping for Rangers or Molde.
Not that they'll be easy but they give something extra.

Norwegian press would be all over it i guess, but the actual football match would not be very interesting. It would be a heavy weight vs fly weight fight.
Molde is by far the weakest team left in the competition (the entire squad is worth 13M £ according to transfermarkt, would be ranked 45 in England between Rotherham and Salford).

I would take it though and any of the English/Spanish teams, Ajax or AC Milan getting knocked out would be appreciated.

PSG are strong - it's impossible to say something else

Why do people generally want to see us be drawn against the weakest opponents? This competition is already boring as hell for me having crashed out of the CL. Personally I would love to see a tie vs Ajax or Milan

Molde is on paper the easiest draw. No long away trip, one of the weaker sides remaining in it, and Ole still follows them closely and knows all about them.

Only want us to avoid Spurs and Arsenal as meeting them in Europe would be boring.

Would much rather avoid the likes of Villarreal and Shakhtar than AC Milan, who I feel we'd breeze through.
