Doubt the Glazers careWonder what Sir Bobby Charlton thinks of all of this.

Seems a questionable conclusion to me. It's an UEFA tournament. To be eligible, you need a player licence from an UEFA member association. If that license can be revoked or suspended, then so can your eligibility. UEFA has the power to do that for various reasons.According to this article from L'Équipe, it most probably violates the EUs rules about free competition to ban players from participating in the Euros/World Cup for being in the Super League.

Rugby does this all the time. No players playing in France can be in the England squad. Same for New Zealand players playing outside of New Zealand are banned from the national team.According to this article from L'Équipe, it most probably violates the EUs rules about free competition to ban players from participating in the Euros/World Cup for being in the Super League.

I'm sure the English FA are more than happy to go from one of the favorites to outsiders.This.
FIFA can win this easily simply by having the FAs not calling players from those clubs.
Why?
Technical decision by the manager.
Good luck trying to debate into those murky waters
Scumbags could depict the FA/FIFA/UEFA/ESL etc - they are ALL the same ilk !Go on lads!
Not really surprised that Perez and Joel Glazer have got their fingers right in the centre of this pie. Imagine how the protests in the early 2000's around the Glazers would have gone if we any idea the impact he would try to force whilst being here. Scumbags, the lot of them.
Regardless of whether this goes through or not, I believe there will be catastrophic repayments to be had for every club that has signed up for it, whilst it may sting a little to start a new season with deducted points, I would back anything that also punishes these money hogging sponges!
Part of me is surprised Raiola isn't implemented in this project somewhere, "High agent of the ESL" or something

If they would they would violate EU law. Which would put them in all kinds of trouble.Seems a questionable conclusion to me. It's an UEFA tournament. Why would one of these mega super league clubs be sat in 9th place in their League if they have the best players? Why would the teams, with the best players, be shit in the league? There was a league system before the top 4 was invented.
Wonder what Sir Bobby Charlton thinks of all of this.
The thing is it actually already exists in Rugby, almost all the major Rugby association have a policy of not selecting players that are playing abroad. Sometimes there is an exception but what actually happens is that players who wants to play for their country do not take the risk or negotiate individually with their federation. Overall it has been a solid deterrent and international rugby is significantly more important within the game than international football. And what happens when Argentina say 'feck that - I want Messi, Dybala and co'. Then others will break ranks. Also can you imagine Belgium?! Their golden generation play for these clubs
Here we go again, another slaughterpiece signed Carra and Neville being streamed out for free to reach the massesTweet

How can one take these financial difficulties seriously when Barca for example spent over 100M individually on the likes of Coutinho and Dembele?
That such a document was so easily discovered by someone with little specialist knowledge of coding will be embarrassing to the European Super League. However its underlying message is that the 12 clubs – including six from the Premier League – had no choice but to act because of the financial costs they were facing.
“Over many decades, players and fans have made football more than a game, inspiring passion and drama unique in the world of sport,” the statement begins. “But the game we love is challenged as never before.”
Citing Covid, it warns that the accumulated losses of top-level clubs exceed €5bn (£4.3bn). “The value of live media rights is stagnating or declining as some of our competitions fail to meet the needs of fans and new generations seek entertainment in ways which didn’t exist 10 years ago,” it says.

Imagine Leicester and West Ham finishing 3rd and 4th ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool only to then be told there’s a new league they’re not part of. This whole thing is absolutely disgusting.I just don’t understand why they didn’t wait till the season ended to announce this. They’ve shot themselves in the foot here
Why wouldn't people watch Marseille vs Wolfsburg if these clubs have big players? The point being that these clubs have the local fanbase and could see their current owners invest heavily. Following your logic who was going to watch Spurs vs City in 2004?To be realistic, no one will pay to watch Marseille vs Wolfsburg, even though they are decently supported teams. There is a massive gap between the top teams and the ones below.
The Champions League these days are just about seeing the best superstars of the game. It will drop massively even with those teams mentioned featuring such is the appeal of the giants.
I still think this will get settled somehow though. UEFA will budge.
UEFA cant even ban u18s from moving. They arent circumventing employment lawsSeems a questionable conclusion to me. It's an UEFA tournament. No oh course it’s not an improvement, it’s a nightmare, but if you feed into the system like the FA have done, they can’t really moan when it comes back to bite. But football is so much more than those shady owners who get shadier the higher one gets up the pyramid. Allowing the top to isolate itself essentially to form a group of elite cnuts just doesn't feel like an improvement to me.

I can not argue with this statement.Scumbags could depict the FA/FIFA/UEFA/ESL etc - they are ALL the same ilk !
Recurring. Is that stadium sponsorship one-off or a recurring payment?
I don’t think they are as appealing as you think. Think lots of neutrals will turn away permanentlyTo be realistic, no one will pay to watch Marseille vs Wolfsburg, even though they are decently supported teams. There is a massive gap between the top teams and the ones below.

The government can do whatever they like, but whether they have the will to is a different question. Can the government remove the glazers ownership?
Nothing is free in lifeFree for anyone who can bear to listen to them cry about ESL
Whether they would violate EU law is what I am questioning. At the very least, that would be a legal judgment of some complexity involving how interpret fundamental principles of European law.If they would they would violate EU law. Which would put them in all kinds of trouble.
just at that point he realises the whole esl concept was designed for this moment, for moss to know what people actually thought about him. the whole idea is then disbanded, and we’re back to normality. moss tries a little harder to be less shit at reffing from that point on.Great idea "John Moss slides to the spot!"
