Every player's wages

Problems when relating wage vs what they bring on the pitch in bold:

Man Utd's New Weekly Wages
1. David De Gea - £375,000
2. Jadon Sancho - £350,000

5. Anthony Martial - £250,000
6. Bruno Fernandes - £240,000
7. Antony - £200,000
8. Marcus Rashford - £200,000
9. Harry Maguire - £189,904
10. Christian Eriksen - £150,000
11. Luke Shaw - £150,000
12. Fred - £120,000
13. Victor Lindelof - £120,000
14. Lisandro Martinez - £120,000

19. Tyrell Malacia - £75,000
20. Brandon Williams - £65,000
21. Scott McTominay - £60,000
22. Marcel Sabitzer - £55,000
23. Tom Heaton - £41,923
24. Diogo Dalot - £25,000
25. Facundo Pellistri - £20,000
26. Anthony Elanga - £5,000
27. Teden Mengi - £5,000

Antony really the only one who you could say could be worth that in the future and has a long term starter spot, it's just a stupid amount for his first contract here when he was desperate to come. The others we'd all be better off getting rid of. Sancho is a squad player best case here IMO, i do think he has huge potential but if he doesn't develop into a world class #10 to replace Bruno, then he's just a squad player. He's not getting ahead of Rashford on the left and Antony on the right is what Ten Hag prefers. Williams, Jones, Greenwood and Donny is all wasted wages with 0 playing time. Says a lot of our problems the past years that half of our top earners should be sold/on half the wages that they are.

It's well established, or at least it should be that Sancho is definitely not on wages over £300k,

He did like so many others, having a great first season.. then it got rough, he was absolutely not continuing hes hot run. By the time he got arrested he was beeing very poor. Very...

Even the likes of Rashford was way ahead when it comes to raw talent.

Im not SAF or anything so i might be wrong, but he would never ever become on the same level as the new boys out there. The Napoli guys, Mbappe, Haaland, Alvarez, Vini, Musliera there raw talent is just completely on another level.

And that is what the big clubs look into. Not a Mason Greenwood.

Idiotic

Probably one of the worst footballing opinions I've ever read on this board.

Numbers seem in line with what has been quoted over the years. Antony, Sancho, and Martial are criminal, especially Sancho. He is practically unsaleable. And I get De Gea is a most senior player... but 375k? Dearie me...

Did Shaw's wage change with his recent extension?

Likely yes although it’s not been confirmed yet. Given the new 200k cap that’s rumoured would guess he’s now in that ball park.

By the same token DDG will be dropping significantly should stay next season.

The fortunate thing is DDG won’t be on anything like that if he decides to stay next season.

Nobody knows what the players are earning…this is all complete hearsay.

Would offer Rashford, 300k a week, not more, to put him above Casemiro would be a crime. Needs to show his consistency over the next couple of seasons to deserve more than that.
Plus on 300k a week it is still a ridiculous amount of money to earn.

Rashford is the least of our worries with some of the contracts other players have.

The Antony one is bizarre if true considering he was so desperate to come here.
Maguire too. He was on what? 30k maybe in Leicester? Why give him 6x times more? I am 100% sure that both of them would come for slightly higher wage.
Also McT and Williams? When they were signing new contracts, why we offered them 500% pay rise? Did they have better offers elsewhere? I doubt it.

What the feck? He has a serious amount of raw natural abiltiy.

He was playing mostly on the wing and scored 17, then 12 and was on course to hit similar numbers again, had 6 in under half a season in a total shit show of a team and was still under 20.

If he was playing for anyone else with those numbers, people on here would have been jumping up and down for the club to sign him.

Totally disagree with pretty much all of that to be honest.

Greenwood was one of the hottest prospect in world football.
So you are saying with a straight face that he was more talented or better than Haaland? Or more wanted by the big clubs than Haaland?

I understand this is a United forum. But get a grip, Masons top form was very short. He was very good hes breakout season. The two following he did not show up.

Not going to comment on the clear Dick Turpins within that list. But did chuckle at McToominay earning less than Brandon Williams

In the PL he did not score that frequently.
He had about 12 goals in hes last 50 apparances. Thats ok for a wing. But hes had only 3 assists. Which is not ok. Its kinda bad even.

Quite good for a 17/18 year old playing in a highly dysfunctional and inconsistent team.

I might be underating hes talent a bit.

But i also think people are overating hes talent a bit.

I doubt anyone can change my mind, especially not with: dude! You know knothing about football!

Explain to me why he was considered world talent. Why is he in the same bracket as: Haaland, Mbappe, Ronaldo, Messi and the likes of those who also been called world talents. What is Greenwood doing there?

But yeah im open for changing my mind. But can anyone explain to me why he is conisdered to have been one of the biggest talents in the world?

Anthony has not shown enough to warrant a spot in the starting 11. He needs to improve significantly to be worth 200K per week.

Hypotetical of course

Reduce Degea to 200k

Sell Martial, Maguire, Williams, Donny

Release Jones

Could be saving almost £42 mill a year, granted some incoming salary increases may reduce that, But coupled with the amount we get in selling these players we could finance a nice CM for the team.

I am drinking yes. And i think some of my points came out wrong. But i still not considering him as a world talent.

You would be wrong then. By some accounts, he was the most valuable or 2nd most valuable young player in the world. I think I saw figures like £140m.

So you are saying with a straight face that he was more talented or better than Haaland? Or more wanted by the big clubs than Haaland?

I think it’s you that needs to get a grip. Just look at the responses you’ve had.

You’re literally just making an argument up that no one has even argued about at this point.

He’s on 75k per week. This thread is about wages. What’s that got to do with Mbappe, Ronaldo and Haaland? Or ‘the biggest talents in the world’ I’ll answer that for you. Nothing.

Mason income shows how much wrong there used to be in this club. Insane.

A few others too when i think of it.

Prior to the scandal Mason had been far more effective for Manchester United then Jadon 'warm cuddles' Sancho

He's not worth 200k per week right now but has the potential long term, and he is absolutely a starting 11 player and we play much better with him in the team. He does frustrate and is inconsistent with his decision making, but he offers us balance that is otherwise lacking.

The Antony one is bizarre if true considering he was so desperate to come here.

True. However Sancho's salary is even more bizarre. He's the second highest paid player at the club despite being so young and had no experience in one of the top 3 leagues

With all due respect but paying huge salaries for 'potential' is a bit silly. I mean what happens if a player doesn't realise his potential? Would we be saddles with a 200k-350k reserve player for life? What happens if he does achieve that potential? Would we then give him a contract extension of 500k a week?

Problem with half these papers is they never actually show the true wages. Can tell just by looking at that that some of them are the maximum income possible to these players given bonuses and some are not because DeGea actually earns more, and so does Sancho, but then they’ve put Martials wage at its highest bonuses included. Wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve done the same to Antony as no way he gets 200k a week.

Shaw also clears 200k depended on bonuses but they’ve put down which looks like the base salary.

always question how anyone would know these figures. I imagine even the players don't discuss it with each other for the most part.
