Expected that when Arsenal play someone competent again they look pants.

If that was the case then why bring on partey, saka, Lacazette. It was just a screw up by arteta as always.
Yep, sorry. Maybe that wasn't clear. The starting lineup cost us the game.

You start your best players then bring on the dross when the result is secure.

The starting lineup suggested we had zero interest in the FA Cup.

Still a very disappointing performance by many squad players though.
Leno, Bellerin, Holding, Gabriel, Willian, Xhaka, Elneny all are regulars in your best 11 isn't it. Then you have players like Martinelli, Nketiah who play decent number of games. Players like Laca, Saka, Partey came on as a sub.

I thought that was strong team.

Surely Arteta will get fired soon? What a crap season for them. The only hope is EL, but they will not win it.
May possible end in 7th and get EL again.

It should have been fairly strong, but we've shown before that our squad isn't good enough when you leave out the best / form players, & for us right now that's Saka, ESR, Tierney, Partey, Auba & Laca.

Put it this way, I text my mate when I seen the line up & thought we were going out.

Thought so. Can label us a lot of things, but the 3rd most successful team in England isn't really a nothing club.

Dunno.. Everton look good enough to finish above Arsenal.
Looked at the table. Villa have played 3 fewer games and are just 1 point behind them. Arsenal will finish in the top half.. but top 7 is going to be a challenge.

Seems like Arteta was not arsed about the competition at all which is weird. It's the only competition they can hope to win. The FA cup specialist.

Go for Tuchel or broke.

Allegri has been out of a job for a while, I wonder if he's desperate enough for Arsenal.

No chance. He will probably get a win or draw against us, celebrate it like he had won the CL and will be 3rd best / elite manager in the league again.

Leno, Bellerin, Holding and Xhaka have been main stays in the starting XI recently.

Elneny more of a stop gap while Partey has been injured. Willian has been shocking and only made sub appearances. Gabriel has only just come back from self isolating and doesn't look up to speed.

Martinelli has only just returned after an a slight ankle injury. Nketiah has been on the bench for the last 4/5 games and has had barely any game time.

The team performs poorly when we don't start our best XI.

It's such a devalued Cup now, I can't help feeling Arsenal might be glad they went out now by the end of the season.

Huh? What else do they really have to play for? EL is even more devalued no?

We have to beat them this time if we want to fight for the title!

My only thinking is he's won the FA Cup before, & as a club a few times recently, & the league is that open that he's valuing the league & Europa League as routes to Champions League over it, however long a shot that might be.

Or, just simply he's cocked up thinking that the likes of Willian, Pepe & Nketiah can step up when they've barely done all season.

They won't be finishing top 4 so winning EL and getting CL football would be huge for them

This sort of talk is bloody irritating.

How is Arsenal losing to Southampton devaluing the cup?! Southampton are above them in the table at the half way stage of the season with a game in hand.

You just know these pathetic little Arsenal slugs will be amazing when we play them next Saturday
The most frustrating performance of the season so far was our cowardly showing against them first time round. We need to rectify that next week and go for the throat.

I don’t know what is and isn’t a penalty anymore for handball, looked a clear handball in The Sheffield Utd game not given even with VAR

Yeah changing the background was stupid. I also think Moyes is a bit too stubborn in his ways and his style of play did not really suit our squad.
Working with West Ham though.
He’s decent but not a top level coach. It’s not that surprising it went wrong for him at the absolute top level.

Moyes is just a very good manager. Strange how it all went to shit with us.
Let's not get too carried away.
Before you know it we'll be saying he was hard done by at United, Sunderland and Real Sociedad.
