Fantasy Premier League 18/19

Son in for Sane is the overwhelming transfer this week amongst the vets it seems. No shocks there.

Yep gone for that this week.
Sane looked utterly toilet midweek, and following the captaincy disaster, a tough fixture this week with no guarantee he starts, plus blank next week, and plus Son suddenly looking red hot, it's an absolute no brainer

Cue Sane 10 pointer and Son blank :wenger:

2 FTs.

Thoughts on Digne + Richarlison out - Son and Kolasinac in?
Son = god form, and Kola has three nice fixtures. Although I'm very sceptical of Arse being able to keep clean sheets in them. Could bring in Pereira instead, Leicester fixtures are insane after the Spurs game.

Leicester is a bit of a fraud team though.

I have gone for Son and Kolasinac for the next 3-4 games.

Apologies if this has already been discussed but I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Is there a dummies guide to navigating the upcoming blank fixtures and double gameweeks anywhere?

I’m confused as to what is/isn’t happening, and the clubs I need to focus on.

I have all of my chips left (including a wildcard) apart from the free hit chip, which I used the previous gameweek.

Thanks in advance!

Same as my decisions. Will prob do the Sane one and keep Aguero for this gw. Either could backfire, tricky.

I’m thinking of keeping Aguero as well as some rumours Auba hasn’t traveled with the squad. Will do Aguero > Auba next week.

I already have Son so Sane > Mane will probably be my move. I think three Liverpool is a must, have Salah and Robertson so weighing up Mane vs a defensive double up with TAA.

fantasy football scout will have an article on it.

Hmm, really can't decide on Aguero to Aubergine for a -4...

Have already done Sané to Sonny.

I'll be bringing Aubergine in next week anyway, and really think he could blow-up this week - but he's been unwell... and it's unlikely Arse will actually need him to beat Huddersfield.

It's a funny one because he could play and blow-up, or he could play and be under-par, or he could be rested...

Meanwhile, I don't think Aguero will blow-up again against Chelsea.

Why is everyone jumping on Son? He's got Leicester next, who aren't pushovers, followed by Burnley who have got some defending steel back and then Chelsea and Arsenal.

Torn between captaining Salah vs Pogba.

Fulham concede over 2 a game on average whereas Liverpool have a fantastic record vs Bournemouth and are at home on top.

Any advice?

Same here. I've been flip flopping between them!

Son's record is great atm.

Plus, many rivals have him so you wanna cover that as well.
Ok sold. Got him in for Sterling. This has allowed me to drop Nasri that useless cnut for Felipe Anderson. Bet I'll regret listening to this thread as usual

Was planning to play my bench boost next gameweek, as I play a weekly head to head pot with 5 mates and it'll catch them out as it's a blank gameweek for City, Chelsea, Everton so some of them will be struggling to get 11 players playing, let alone a full bench. Plus would remove my dilemma of whether to bench Utd or Pool players and allow me to watch the game with no strings attached...

But then I realise I have a half decent bench this week so contemplating just playing it now.

My team for this week was:
Patricio
Robertson Jonny Kolasinac
Mane Salah Pogba Son
Rashford Aguero Llorente

Bench:
Guaita (H v West Ham) AWB (H v WH) Lindelof (A v Fulham) McNeil (A v Brighton)

But think that bench could rack up a few points... Lindelof is on the bench just because the others have a better chance of attacking points plus the clean sheet.

Haha, we're in it together my man.

Anyway, I think I'm gonna do Laporte to Kola, giving me this team for those who care...

--------------------Alisson------------------
Kola---------------Van Dijk------------Shaw
Sonny------Salah----------Pogba------Richarlison
-----Jiménez------Aguero------Rashford-----

Let's do it.

Used my wildcard, I had to my team has been stale for weeks. This is what I got..

GK: Ederson
DEF: VVD, Holebas, Laporte
MID:Mane, Pogba, Moutinho, Son
FW: Jiminez, Rashford, Aguero

Bench: Etheridge, Torreira, Rice, Bennett.

I have no idea who to put as Cap/V-C a lot of big teams and their players at home. Any thoughts? But I can see Rasford/Pogba scoring at Fulham though, more than say Aguero v Chelsea or Son v Leicester.

Cap Mané, for sure.

So I have Richarlison, Ward-Prowse, Pogba, Salah and Brooks in my midfield. Need a replacement for Brooks. I'll have 8.2 m available if I get rid of him.

These Auba being ill and having not travelled talks are really doing my head in. Just brought him in for Kun.

As long as you're comfy with having 3 city with a blank next week

Rashford apparently benched - anyone putting him as sub this week to avoid a 1 point cameo?

Weighed up a late switch of awb and rashy but loads of people have rashford so not a huge risk.

Plus if rashford came on and you'd benched him you'd be in that awkward mode of half not wanting him to do anything which is not great!

Looks like I dodged a bullet with Rashford but don't count my chickens yet as Llorente has to score some points now.

Not worried Rashford being on the bench, if he comes on with 20-30mins play I think he can do some damage.

Auba is a worry...I would have brought him in anyway for next weekend

You said to avoid a 1 point cameo

Yeah, that was the point of the question. Whether anyone has decided to bench Rashford because of the chance he comes up at 80 minutes and doesn’t have time to score.

I don’t think it would have been a bad decision to bench Rashford, I can see logic in it but decided against it personally.

Yeah fair enough, I played him myself.

I increased my hit from 4 points to 8 points to bring Auba in. Now him and Rashford likely wont feature
