Fantasy Premier League 20/21

Have anyone created head to head league? Can i get the code to join if you have created?

With the addition of Willian. Taking penalties. Get 1 point for a cleen sheet. Auba will easily get over 200 points playing a full season over 3000 minutes. And of the first i will put in my starting XI.

Arsenal can be an outsider to top 4 this season. Arteta FA cup winning, get a summer transfer window. Can might be good enough for top 4. I will not suprise. Then it mean Arsenal attacking players have to score many goals to get into top 4. Hard competition for top 4 this season. With Mourinho and Spurs too.

Fully fit easily Auba captain in first gameweek.
Prepare to get trolled by this aubarated numpty

Keen for Doherty now, but would need to find 1.5m somewhere

Auba in midfield is is a no brainer really. With Willian and Pepe on the wings, he's going to play upfront 95% of the time for Arsenal provided he stays fit throughout. He's pretty much their only goal threat and is on penalty duties too. He gets an extra point per goal and a further point per clean sheet.
I see him having a season similar to Vardy last season, plus those extra points. He's definitely a mainstay in my team.

Yes that's all good but remember, he's a fantasy troll. When you have him, he'll miss sitters and pens. Then you'll drop him and he'll score a brace. Then you'll bring him back and he'll be dropped for no reason. This is the way of the Auba.

Some fantasy genious needs to get the opposite effect. Drop him to miss penalties and sitters. Then bring him in to score a few.

His best position is wide left though isn't it?

Will he actually play as the lone frontman very often?

I'm actually tempted to have Auba over Salah. I could see him regressing a fair bit.

Doherty is a must IMO now that he’s gone to Spurs. He will have a very offensive role and could get close to TAA in scoring. Speaking of TAA, I had to get rid of him to accommodate my team... now it reads:

McCarthy
Doherty Justin Vinagre Robertson
Auba Salah Ziyech Son
Werner Mitrovic

Bench: Nyland, Ferguson, Brewster, Stephens (basically three fodders)

I want TAA back badly but have no idea who to sacrifice to upgrade from Robertson. I want to get Bruno and Martial in once United are back in play so might get rid of Salah or Auba to do that, or downgrade Son. I will probably use WC quite quickly this year. The above team makes sense for the first 2-3 weeks though, right?

Not sure what your reasoning there is. He's going from an offensive wing back role to right back in a four for José, not renowned for attacking with abandon. Aurier wasn't a big fan of the defensive side of things and he didn't set the fantasy world alight.

I had Aurier last year, and learnt the hardway about attacking players in a Jose team.

If they don't play wing backs, which they probably won't, he becomes poor value.

Thoughts please?

Ryan (Nyland)
TAA, Robertson, Walker-Peters (Branthwaite) (Ferguson)
Auba, Salah, Armstrong, Ward-Prowse, Son
Werner, Mitovic, (Davis)

I think he did better goalwise when he played CF. Arsenal had Saka on the left, Pepe on the right with Auba through the middle in most of their games in the second half of the season.
I'm guessing with Willian on board now, he plays on the left with Pepe on the right. Auba stays at CF with Lacazette coming off the bench.

Time will tell.
I do have him in my hastily assembled current draft in fairness.

Lots of faith in Southampton. Do you think they will be that good?
Not sure who starts in that midfield for them either. Armstrong look tempting if he starts though.

As with all Jose’s teams I expect them to have a good first full season, and they have more offensive potential than Wolves so he should be getting better numbers on that side too. He was already a very high scorer for Wolves and Spurs should be a better team. Doherty is better than Aurier offensively too, and Aurier played pretty high up.

Jimenez value may drop now though, and there are some expecting Traore to be tried at RB which would decrease his value too.

Very similar to mine. I’ve gone for Ziyech and a filler instead of Armstrong and Ward-Prowse, Doherty instead of TAA and McCarthy instead of Ryan (I don’t have Walker-Peters, took Justin instead). Armstrong is tempting though, I’ve had him in a few of my templates. Ziyech could be great value at £8.0m though so I had to find a way to get him in.

So in case Messi lands in the PL, how much would they price him? I'm thinking the most expensive player right off the bat.

14 or 14.5 if they're feeling like bastads.
If a midfielder.

If they put him in attack they would have to go 13max or would totally price people out.

Aurier got a goal and seven assists last season I think.

Bonkers mate.

So I've discovered I will no way get the team that I had last year with all the price rises. Could people please list their potential gems?

I'm looking at William @ 8million, Arsenal don't really have many players outside of Auba to score their goals. I like him as an option only if he is likely to play each game.

Greenwood @ 7.5 million don't need to say much he will remain excellent value if he remains to play each match which I believe he will.

Mitrovic @6.0 seems a must own considering he has premier league experience and knows where the goal is.

Any more?

Wait and see how Spurs do. Doherty could be a system player and in his element at Wolves. Spurs haven't shone yet under Jose.

Trouble is their best fixture run is at the start of the season. Might be worth a gamble on them getting off to a flyer and downgrade him if not. I've got him on at the moment but wouldn't mind seeing him in a friendly or two first.

Mitrovic 6.0 striker
Dallas 4.5 def
Pereira 6.0 mf
Saint Maximin 5.5 mf
Vinagre 4.5 def
Soucek 5.0 mf

Reasons for those apart from Mitro.

Interested in your take.
Dallas 4.5 def - attacking full back, guaranteed starter, will get assists, even some goals.
Pereira 6.0 mf - gets the odd goal here and there. Was the assist king at championship. If West Brom score, he'll play a part.
Saint Maximin 5.5 mf - great end to last season, should get better this time round hopefully.
Vinagre 4.5 def - wolves left back has long term injury, guaranteed to start in a decent team and is very attacking.
Soucek 5.0 mf - looked electric end of last season and had already scored a few in preseason.

Of those above, I have Dallas, Mitro, Vinagre and Saint Max.

Is Pereira any good? Fixtures aren't the very best, but I could need a 6 million or around midfielder not being Saint Maximin.
He got many assists last season and a few goals on top. Not sure if that'll translate into prem but from the new teams, he's one of the better choices.

Leicester and Everton might not be the worst games to start with then. Uppgrading him there is not very much value I think apart from Greenwood. I have 4-5 strikers I really want, but only like 3 midfielders.

Armstrong for Saints is my ''dark horse''. 5 goals 4 assists in 1700mins. Should be even better this season.

If he starts! We will see if Saints have a better season this time around. Redmond could be a factor too.

I'm doing a draft in a couple weeks. My opinion is city win the league and I'm thinking to prioritise on them. Thoughts?

Bonkers mate.

Doherty will give better points per £ than TAA. They were basically identical last year and Doherty will be in a better team this year. Value. Robertson + Doherty combination will give more points than TAA + any £5.5 defender IMO.... only other one I can see being close is TAA + Chilwell if Chelsea can sort out their defense but we've not seen any evidence that they can yet (though it should be better with Chilwell and Thiago Silva but goalkeeper is still a big issue).

Vinagre is a must for me as well, until Jonny recovers. Doherty leaving may make him even more offensive as they are going to lose Doherty on the other flank, and they should always be fine for clean sheets.

James Justin is a fantastic choice for defense too, I think. Quite good offensively, almost guaranteed started and Leicester are a good team. You don't get top 8 starters for £4.5 normally.

I am tempted to change Ziyech and Stephens into two £5.5 midfielders and use excess to upgrade Robertson to TAA but I'm going to wait on that. Ziyech could be great value at £8.0.

Doherty was pretty much playing Right Midfield for Wolves, he'll play RB for spurs who aren't as good defensively.

I don't think they've acquired him to play defense. He will play high up, just like Aurier had, but with better results, and Spurs should be much better offensively than Wolves were which will help his returns on that end.
