Fantasy Premier League 21/22

Oh no, not this "most" myth nonsense again

We had it last year about how "most" people had xx yy and zz player, and it'd be 20 or 30%.

Quick check of Luiz record.

6 games, 1 booking.

Last season, equivalent of almost 31 90min appearances, 8 bookings.
Similar the season before.
Which idiot are you on about? :nervous:

Lukaku missing GW8, whether confirmed or not, would make my wildcard a complete waste.

On my wildcard I’m leaning towards Lukaku (despite the flag) for 4 weeks, with a view to bringing in Son or Kane depending on form after that. The fixtures turn quite nicely.

Undecided whether to go with the three big defenders. There’s enough of a doubt over TAA that I might just leave him out with 1.5 ITB and swap over Cancelo after 3 games. That could free up around 1.5 million, however that’s already 2/3 transfers booked, which is shit on a WC.

Remember, there are less good teams than average/bad teams so overall Lukaku will do well. He will be heavily captained against Norwich and if he bangs a couple that week, which he should, you will fall hugely due to his EO%

I get your point but a lot of FPL is covering the big hitters and using your differentials to climb up the rank.

You can have Lukaku, Son, Salah and TAA without compromising too much on overall team (I have a draft earlier this thread that has a team with them 4 plus a good GK, a fully premium defense, Raphinha and Antonio).

It will hugely hurt your rank every time one of CR7 or Lukaku bang and you don't have one of them...

Just my two cents.

I’ll hold Ronaldo for Leicester, they have the 3rd worst defence in the league currently but that’s him gone until gw 15 or something when our fixtures are good again. Will try Lukaku for a few weeks after that before possibly going back to my plan of 3 medium prices. Also captaining Salah this gw. I just feel like it’s a waste when you’re not captaining the premiums. I saw a video of a past winner and he was saying don’t fall into the trap of loading up on premiums unless they are captains, spread the money otherwise to jump on any form train and Son is starting to catch some form. He’s on 40pts already. The highest striker is on 49.

Cheers for the advice :)

Team 1 for me. Then 2. 3 is last.

Bloody Alonso... Dunno what to do. 1 FT. My bench all out. Alonso starting.

Lot of punts in your selection since there are players who are not guaranteed starting and yet they can still feature as sub for 15-20 mins which could either give you 1 point or more if they score as sub. May be get man city defense as they have less rotation risk in Pep’s management.

Ederson is out for GW8, so you maybe, but not certainly, have Foster away at Liverpool.

Out of the squad is what I heard. We'll know more near the GW. Good to have a WC right now.
If he is going to miss time I don’t think doubling up on Chelsea defense is the way to go with Silva and Christensen the other two CBs. They will still win games but clean sheets could be a bit less.

Rudiger and Lukaku missing out would ruck a lot of people up.
Like @Moby says, good time to be on the wildcard.

News will come out within a week.

It doesn’t feel like it! Loads of the players you’d want long term are flagged or potentially missing after internationals.

I wouldn’t fancy wildcarding and not having TAA, Lukaku, Raph, Rudiger etc long term, however it’s a massive risk including them all right now.

I will try to find info who starts the next game. Still long term predicting Pep is a nightmare.

No Jesus so Mahrez should start right?

Yeah Mahrez should start I believe. Pep hasn't played Grealish other places than left wing to my knowledge, and usually Foden, Sterling operates best from the left too. I don't see Pep putting KdB up top for Burnley (he's also a bit shite at the moment), and he does usually play form players so Foden is probably a better bet than Sterling, Torres. But you always come out as the loser long term in Pep Roulette.

I was hugely considering Foden or Grealish but I just can't take on the pep roulette every week as I know the house always wins in the end.

Might just find a way to get in Son instead.

Yeah on a wildcard I would go for Son and get the cheap picks like Mbeumo, Hwang, Gray/Townsend.

Lukaku should be Ok?

On the others, in a squad of 15, you can have one or two who don't play next week if you plan your WC carefully.

You can also leave one or two out and bring them in with normal transfers.

Between all above, should be no issue in picking a medium term squad (with a couple of short term picks).

Yeah. Same for Ederson/Jesus. Steffan likely starts vs Burnley.
Do GKs need the same recovery time? I won’t be surprised if Ederson started. But if he doesn’t, is it still wise to double up on City defense?
