Solanke going up tonight. Don't think there's any point bringing him in for 1 game so I'll see what news we get tomorrow before making any transfer.

Just great, Archer came on for my Solanke points
But still a small green arrow with 64 points.

That Solanke-gate took me from losing the overall cup by 1 point to winning it by 3. Plus my mini league rival had him and that helped me close in on him.
With mixed reviews coming in for Haaland, don’t know whether I should go for the Solanke switch though.

What is up with that name "Onana what is my name" team? I noticed 6 or 7 teams with that name. With one i am even in the cup.

With Haaland back in training, does people have their "Haaland back in"-plans ready?

I have decided to sit out GW19 and wildcard GW20:

My WC draft for GW20 looks like this now:

Pickford/Dubravka
TAA, Tripps, Porro, Colwill, Van Hecke
Son (might become KDB if he gets minutes in GW19), Saka, Bowen, Gordon, Palmer
Haaland, Watkins, Mateta

Should be making up some lost terrain through AfCoN and ACoN
Thoughts?

Yeah I'm on Twatkins at the moment but it doesn't feel quite right. He's obviously the statto's favourite for points this gw but I just wonder if he'll be crowded out by a Sheffield United low block.

Problem is Son is playing wide again and Everton aren't bad defensively either and Salah was shite last week.

Yeah, his heat map (if you click on the Forest game to isolate that one, last match) shows how his positioning has moved from the central role he was occupying pre-Richard’s son coming in

Watkins captain for me. Seems the most intuitive pick of my options. Will look up a few odds.

Anytime Goalscorer:

Watkins 8/11
Salah 7/4 + Top notch assist potential
Sterling 12/5
Bowen 5/2
Saka 3/1
Gordon 13/4

Clean sheet:

Konsa 17/20
Dubravka 6/4
Lascelles 6/4
Porro 9/4 + Bonus point magnet
Tsimikas 11/4

Villa assets looking juicy! I've vice-captained Salah.

Yes I'll be taking worst transfer ever Darwin out for Haaland

I am keeping him. Cheap option who delivers. Why to sell that?
Yup.

I am planning to roll my FT

Dubravka
Saliba Lascelles Tsimikas
Saka Palmer Bowen Salah Gordon
Watkins (C) Solanke

Subs: Branthwaite, Archer, Kabore

Saka 1 assist, no goals in 3 weeks
Kudus seems to be outscoring Bowen, though Bowen is keeping it ticking. So not sure if I should make that move.

Yeah I really want to keep Gordon as well. He's the Saka of Newcastle. Howe loves him and plays him as much as possible. Also a cheap way into their attack and you don't have to constantly worry about who from Wilson or Isak is gonna play up front.

I'm playing Archer at the moment so I guess the sensible move for me is Alvarez out for Solanke even though that spot is reserved for Haaland when he's back. Then I'll have to pick one of Gabriel or Tsimi to bench.

Callum Wilson in for Isak. First time I've had him this season and I just cannot WAIT to be trolled yet again by him.

Don't do that to yourself. Isak is better option. Wilson will be injured in a game or two. You know that....

Areola/Johnstone

Trippier TAA Tsimikas Guehi Cash

Ward-Prowse Salah Foden Palmer Gordon

Alvarez Jesus Watkins

Goalies are zeroes… two City player out, so it’s ten from the remaining eleven.

Can roll transfer, play a zero goalie then use two tfrs next week (Salah/someone out… Haaland/someone in… lots of ITB)

or… get Leno in for decent fixtures/hopefully points which may need a -4 next week (if doing above moves)?

Pau out of tomorrow’s game. Thankfully waited before transferring him in. Looks like it’s gonna have to be Konsa transferred in instead.

I was going to say that I'm on course for my best ever season on FPL (currently at 74k) and on course to meet my aim of finishing in the top 100k for the first time.

Turns out I finished in the top 13k in 2019/20 (don't recall ever doing so well) but I think the hope of a season's best ranking is now slim.

Very similar to mine. You are comfortable with playing both saliba and tsimikas? I was wondering if I should get in a Newcastle defender in Saliba’s place.

Not very. My plan was to get rid of Tsimikas by this week. But he seems to be ticking. I don't think I ll get rid of an Arsenal defender for now.
