Looking forward to those last 2, loads of my mates are doing a week on the booze before the game against FC Winterthur. Really wish I could afford it.

got return flights for 55 quid so not too bad and there is also a discounted hotel as well so saved a considerable sum on that

Looking forward to seeing Telford play you guys, surprised we haven't played each other more than twice before really. Would expect another comfortable win to take into the league season but anything can happen in friendlies.

Message from the Manager
Manager, Karl Marginson, would like to give supporters a bit more info about our pre-season friendlies. He said:
"We’ve got the usual total of ten games. That sounds a lot, but we need that many to assess all the players. Unlike previous years, none of these will be ’FCXI’ games, we’ll be involving all the squad and triallists where we need to. We’re starting a week later than usual, so we have a couple of weeks of intense training, then the first friendly will be a warm up game. After that we’ve got 4 or 5 games in quick succession, to give all squad members and triallists some game time, so we can assess them properly. The second half of the friendlies programme has some tough games and longer trips to help squad bonding. That will test the players fully, so the coaches and I can finalise the squad for the season. The overall aim is to give all the players enough time on the pitch, so everyone is match fit to start the league season."

Few new grounds for me on that, don't usually bother with pre season but I'm proper giddy for next season so going to try and get to the majority.

They just got relegated from the conference with 1 win in 46 games over the season and 10 points. Nice to see you're getting the challenges in early ;)

Pretty good considering it's the 7th tier.

3 FC players have made the jump from NPL to League 1 and 2 in recent months. What you find though is like a lot of clubs in Non league there can be quite a high turnover of players.

Interesting. I've always wanted to cross the pond and have a go at playing in the lower league in England, but I have no idea about the level.
