It seems that he has ended badly with the Valencia fans.
From what I read, they consider him a conceited kid. Obviously disappointed because he didn't renew.
Tomorrow in Marca an interview in which he says that Parejo has been a bad captain for him.
He is very talented but I wonder how much he will play, and if he will play something important being Sterling on the team

Ferret Torres. Name checks out. Will be well protected by his ratfaced brother Micheal Oliver in the Manchester derbies.

That's a cracking price
Presuming b silva plays on the right and Stirling on the left that leaves mahrez and torres as back ups
Seriously talented group of players there

Suspect torres will be more prepared to be rotated than sane was as well

Sane, Mahrez and Bernardo all had bedding in periods where they played in minor games and warmed the bench while adapting to the style of play and Torres will probably be no different.
Apparently he’s two footed with a slightly stronger right foot so should be able to do a good job on either flank.

Will become a good player. Not a Top10 itw or something but should fit Pep's system well.

Is he Jesus Navas or Leroy Sane or somewhere in between?

Don't know much about him really but I trust our scouting team with attackers so I expect him to do well.

I wonder if this means Bernardo is going to be used in the centre more often. He's been used out wide more than in the middle this season and I think it ended up affecting his form. Sterling is insanely fit so will likely start 45-50 games next season in total, meaning we can rotate him with Foden and Jesus who have both been used on the left post-lockdown. Mahrez and Torres will probably be used on the right.

Seems like a cock. I want the captaincy AND I want the most money. Pipe down.

Who's Peter Lim?

1. Peter Lim must be involved (so FT will feel important).
2. Captain Ferran Torres.
3. One of the highest paid players at Valencia.

Valencia refused any of his demands.

Interesting, he sounds so entitled, if he's a problem and a diva at City.. great!
Another Yaya cake incident?

City fans on Bluemoon were complaining about Sancho’s attitude issues...

A terrible interview.
Now there are stories on twitter about dressing room fights with veterans, who maybe considered that they were spoiled (Ferrán and Kangin Lee) by the board.
I don't know if it is worse to want to be captain and the best paid or to tell the press.

Sounds like he’s got some attitude issues that’s for sure. Ah well it’s City so feck ‘em. Good luck on Friday by the way. Will be fully cheering you on!

Thank you Maxi.Benzema 0-1 + dodgy VAR and everybody happy

Wow, I wish we went after lesser talents and got deals wrapped up early like City etc etc

From that interview, you can kind of see why Valencia would be happy to sell him off so early in the window for such a seemingly low fee

I honestly don't get the hype. Its a good transfer for City, because you can't do much wrong with this fee , but has anyone actually watched him?

Last season under Marcelino, he was a sub and hardly started outside the early copa rounds. While Valencia played boring football, they were successful and Marcelino is a very good coach in terms of results. Part of the hype of Ferran Torres came from the fact, that he was an academy product and somewhat slightly more creative than the rest of the team. His competition was Carlos Soler, Wass or coquelin. It was probably tough to shine as attacking player, but his performances were hardly special. At the beginning of this season he was still not a nailed on starter for Marcelino even so it looked like he planned to use him a bit more. Than their manager got sacked and replaced by a puppet of the owner, who demanded that his talents (Kang-in Lee and Ferran Torres) get much more time on the pitch. At this point the whole club was toxic, but Torres played because the owner wanted him to start games, not because of his performances. I understand why any player would want to leave Valencia, but he hardly suffered individually from it. His last interview is a bit of a joke. He didn't show anything to make these demands. He didn't even show enough to be a certain starter for Valencia.

He might be a much better fit for the type of football, that City is playing, but if he doesn't show a lot more than he has so far, he'll struggle to get in the first team squad. Foden has shown more quality in the little time he got, than he did.

He’s a 20-year-old winger who has 6 goals in 71 league appearances and he wanted to be the club captain, sounds like someone thinks a bit too highly of himself, doesn’t it?

Watched him once against Madrid and he was quite invisible. Could be a decent player for City, but without injuries for likes of Sterling, Mahrez and Bernardo Silva he will probably struggle to get game time. And I wouldn’t be surprised if they still signed more players for those AM/wing positions with Silva and Sané leaving.

Nothing like Toure. Quite the opposite, Toure never asked for captaincy despite the only City stars who had Champions League medal under his belt. He never asked to be the main penalty taker despite having 100% CR in his entire career. Never asked to be the main freekicks taker despite he's very good at it. His only mistake was having an agent who talked too much shit.

You completely missed his point about the cake

He's been looking good for them, outshining Mahrez and probably on par with Sterling so far this season.

I've heard he thought very highly of himself but it looks like he's willing to back that up too. During the summer on his day off he put himself through military like regima of training to get himself to be more fit and able to deal with physicality.

Will be interesting to see how it goes from here he has the confident and knows his ability but only time will tell.

Three goals in three Champions League games so far. He's averaging a goal or assist every 91 minutes. Absolute bargain.

He was always a bargain. Looked a top prospect, surprised people where questioning him. For the money City got him for he was an absolute no brainer.
