This is honestly a fantastic kit. And it's a great, and rare, example of Adidas finding a way to make the tired old 3 stripes look unique and not like a template. It's official. Our new kit to celebrate ourtitle win this seasoninvincible season 20 years ago.

Small time stuntIs it just me that absolutely despises clubs wearing their next season kit in the final game of the current season? Horrific stuff.
Imagine wearing it for the first time in a cup final and losing (like Chelsea in the 2008 CL final). Not the best first impression. Is it just me that absolutely despises clubs wearing their next season kit in the final game of the current season? Horrific stuff.
Somebody took our tennis ball kit from last year and wondered how they could just make it a little bit more shit. Top effort.

It really is. Best hoop kit I've seen. Meanwhile we have to put up with the dross nike hoop kits. Sad.Celtic have just released a 120 year anniversary kit,
It is incredible.
Who do they think they are, Hamburger SV?Tweet

Better than their actual home kit and they won't even wear it. Madness.Celtic have just released a 120 year anniversary kit,
It is incredible.
Yeah I agree.Better than their actual home kit and they won't even wear it. Madness.
It shouldn't be difficult to come up with a classic stipe/hoop kit really, just keep it simplistic with a few minor embellishments here and there! It really is. Best hoop kit I've seen. Meanwhile we have to put up with the dross nike hoop kits. Sad.

We understand every emotion. It is also a dramatic event for us as an association when it is clear that a partnership that was and is characterized by many special moments is coming to an end after more than 70 years. That does not leave us cold.
However, the German Football Association is first and foremost committed to German football and its development. For us, that is above all else – in the interests of more than 24,000 football clubs, 2.2 million active players, the numerous volunteers and almost 55,000 referees.
The DFB has a unique selling point: it is a sports association that finances its member associations and the grassroots amateur sector and is not financed by them. It puts the money into football so that football remains a popular sport.
Against this background, the DFB must make economic decisions. Nike submitted by far the best financial offer in the transparent and non-discriminatory process.
The future partnership with Nike ensures that we can continue to fulfil our key tasks for football in the coming decade. We are looking forward to it.
At the same time, one thing is clear: we will continue to live and appreciate the collaboration with our long-standing partner adidas with full commitment until the very end.
Football shirt prices have inflated for what is essentially a print t-shirt. I don't think t-shirts cost that much more now than 20 years yet football t-shirt are about 2 times more expensive. The pricing of the Nike kits for the Euro's is a disgrace.
If you want the French or Dutch shirt it's €150. Otherwise you can buy a t-shirt with the crest that looks nothing like the real one for €100.
Complete rip off.The pricing of the Nike kits for the Euro's is a disgrace.

That's it ultimately, keep paying it and they'll keep the prices up.Complete rip off.
If everyone stopped buying them the sale price would soon nosedive.
Nah. They’re raising prices on a demographic of people that buy no matter the cost. They’d rather 9 people buy for £120 than 10 people buy at £100.That's it ultimately, keep paying it and they'll keep the prices up.
I'm not a parent and don't buy kits, but can understand the pressure parents in particular must face when a new kit comes out. They could still say no of course, but I'd imagine it's much easier to say no to buying one for yourself than it would be for your children. Parents wanting to put a smile on their kid's faces of course when it comes down to it.
Football shirts, or sports team shirts are a bit of a unique product. Allows them to charge a lot with people still willing to pay it.
The wearer is obviously passionate about the sport, finds it extremely exciting, and the exhilaration felt when your team scores a goal is often unmatched. We all saw that young kid in the crowd overcome with emotion when we scored the winner against Liverpool last weekend. Must be easy to charge a lot for something associated with that feeling.
At it's best the sport showcases amazing skill, the benefits of hard work, teamwork and camaraderie, being healthy and fit etc. It's glamorous as hell with all the wealth in the game. It makes wearing the same thing as the players aspirational.
On top that there's the whole identity thing. There's the desire to want to show which "tribe" you belong to whether that's your club or your country. For countries it also also comes with feelings of patriotism/ love of their country that someone may hold.
The kit manufacturers can tap into all that and more, such an easy sell for cynical marketing people as they're a very desirable product. I'm sure they've looked into these sorts of things. They can keep pushing the prices accordingly.
While I don't buy them I still like looking at new kits and seeing which ones I like or don't when they come out. Kit porn!
