FM2007 is clearly the best version
Just did a quick wiki search and apparently Saudi Arabias Mohamed Al-Deayea has 178 caps. He'd be easily Englands highest capped player nearest being Shilton with 125 caps.Has anyone tried this before?
As a sideline to my club career, I've been England manager for the last 6 years (I'm about 10 years into the save). I keep having to win tournaments to keep my job, but it seems easier at international level. The key reason is to try and get Wayne Rooney to 200 caps and 100 goals. I keep arranging extra friendlies against cannon fodder to try and boost his stats. He's 34 now and only worth £1 mil but nevertheless I keep playing him, changing the team to accommodate him best. He's been stuck at 99 goals for ages. I don't know if he'll get to 200 caps, but he's at 166 now and I'm playing in Euro 2020, so if I get far that's a few more. I can't work out how to find out if he is the most capped player in international history. If I search all players and sort by caps he is by far, but that doesn't include past players
Khouma Babacar and Javier Hernandez have both hit over 100 goals for Senegal/Mexico in every single one of my FM2011 saves. That's about 5 different save games. It's ridiculous really. It's probably one of my biggest pet peeves, International records. Very few players have got into the hundreds for goals in reality, whilst if you are in a relatively rubbish nation, 150 and 200 are viable targets for a forward.
Ruud van Nistelrooy used to regularly get me 70+ goals a season in CM 01/02. I'm pretty sure i used a cheating tactic though.Klose once got me 54 goals in a season on FM 06.
I've never even come close to equaling that record.
Well I only got to play with Ruud in TCM 2004 (the EA sports thing) and FM 05.Ruud van Nistelrooy used to regularly get me 70+ goals a season in CM 01/02. I'm pretty sure i used a cheating tactic though.
