By now most of us are experts about the financials at Barça. There are vids and explanations in this thread about everything like wage structures, amortization, ffp rules to debt structure.

Basically FC Batshitlona is fecking itself for the next 25 years.

We ignore anything posted by sport and other Barcelona sources because it is pure bsand changes every day.

Secondly anything about the FdJ transfer not happening is believed by a whole bunch of pissers and moaners on this forum. Even if it is from shiit sources.

Now, about your club. They are an utter embarrassment. Frenkie loved the club and deferred most of his salary for two years to help them survive.

Now they are trying to force him out without settling the deferred wages, or have him take a 50% paycut, while buying players left and right they can‘t afford.

You should be embarrassed you are still supporting the goatfecker arseholes. I really hope the ffp hammer will come down hard.
Experts huh? Most of this 'expertise' comes from journalists guess work. 'How are Barca signing players?!' I think Laporta probably has a much better idea than football fans on a forum and English journos. I mean, you said it yourself; you are ignoring anything posted by Sport (fair enough they are trash) AND other Barcelona sources aka anything that doesn't suit the United agenda, gotcha. That is why I called this thread an echo chamber.

Frenkie did an honorable thing in deferring his wages. Can you provide me ANY evidence that, if legally owed, Barca are unwilling to pay him the magical 17mil? Or is that the head in the sand coping mechanism incase, actually, the player still has zero intention of joining United. I think so.

Laporta has restructured the wages at Barca and there is now a wage cap. Frenkie's wages aren't in line of this cap thus he would need to take a pay cut in order to stay, pretty sure he himself would of known this at the start of the summer. That is an option remember, nobody is putting a gun to his head.

I'm not embarrassed to support Barca, most of this is media drama and you as a United fan should know all about that yet here we are and everyone is lapping it up. IF Barca legally owe Frenkie and are refusing to pay him what he's owed and this is holding up the deal, proven, I will put my hands up and say 'Barca acted shamefully' but until this is confirmed, it's more media spin for the drama.

As for the last part.. Goatfecker? Not sure I follow but you do you.

On a less confrontational note, I think this transfer should speed up now Bernardo Silva links are getting hotter. Hopefully the transfer is done and dusted soon for both our clubs sake.

So the guy doesn't have to take a pay cut, they can make all the signings they want no problem, even though they're using levers, he's a valued high quality player... but "in football you never know?"

Barcelona's unregistered 11 is going to be so sick. That team would qualify for a Champions League spot.

How high a pay cut does he have to take to get Lewandowski and Raphina's wages into the budget? Those 2 are surely on about 400-500k a week between them?!

Think I got it figured out. Barca never intended to register these players, they're merely there for training the academy lads. Consequently, they'll enjoy excellent training against proper super stars, becoming the next golden La Masia generation -> profit.

Basically, de Jong will have to pay them if he wants to keep making the starting 11. He's probably sorting out a direct debit as we speak.

Probably also has to wash Laporta's clothes for him too, and double up as his PA.

A Ronaldo not getting his paycheck in time and also not be registered would be a beautiful sight. Please do it, Laporta.

Barcelona pays players on the agreed date. In the 21/22 budget there was more than €100M in deferred salaries and other bonuses.
We will see how the economic accounts are when they are published.

Barcelona will pay the corresponding amount on the date indicated. We will have to wait to know if Barcelona owes something to Messi or not.
So ... to my point: you still OWE your employees money.

And isn't that what your guys have been saying for ages, though? We will pay you at a later date, just not now.

It's funny, because I remember watching a Barca documentary from the early noughties when they were trying to sign Ronaldinho during Laporta's first spell. I remember that his whole thing was 'let's run the club like United' (literally name-checked us - we were a debt-free PLC then), in terms of corporate responsibility. I guess that's out the window. Can't say as I blame him; he's just a politician after all. Let the next guy clean up my mess.

Not sure why anyone still takes anything that comes out of Laporta's mouth seriously. He's an actual politician and will vend and twist narratives however he deems fit with little regard for the truth.

The same man who just a few months ago said they would definitely sign Haaland and that they weren't after Kounde because he already had a deal with Chelsea

He's going to City to replace Silva isn't he?
He wouldn’t get ahead of Rodri any time soon. He’s underwhelming anywhere in one of the attacking positions. He can’t play in the positions Bernardo plays. Barca want Bernardo probably because he can play on the wings as well as the attacking mid positions.

If Barca can register all the players and keep FDJ.... I mean they are either stupid and incompetent or doing great job.

" the law change that means the club president and board are no longer liable for losses "

That basically means that they can borrow and all they need to do is pay the interest.
In any case, I couldn't give a damn about FC Barca.

IMO FDJ's presence in our team is not essential. There are definitely other CMs that will improve us. We are absolute garbage on the pitch so it doesn't take much to improve us.

The only thing that concerns me is that our board are so incompetent that they are struggling to sell our deadwood players. Selling the deadwood is a far higher priority than getting a player who doesn't want to join us.
Problem with that is someone actually needs to want to buy them.

Woodward and his excessive wages seem to have made that difficult for other teams to afford.

Ah, now we’re here.

Double bluffing.

If Frenkie is gonna “bluff” that he’ll stay even as 4th choice CB as a bluff to ensure the maximum settlement, Laporta is now playing his final card, pretending that they will have him stay (rather than pay out the 17-20m he wants for his mutual contract termination) on his current wage.

It’s all a load of guff.

Barca want him gone, Frenkie and his agent know this and are asking for the maximum possible amount.
Both parties pretending they will stay on the current status quo, although as much as Laporta tries turning the screw, I still think staying on his current wage, even as a none starting eleven player, suits FDJ way more than it suits the club.

Barcelona pays its players when the contract date indicates.
As in the FDJ contract.

At least it’s finally over and United have a month to find a new midfielder

It was quite a ride but United should have walked away a month ago when De Jong went on tour rather than discussing personal terms
