People saying todays result means it’s off, I think it’s the opposite. We’ll throw absolutely everything at him this week to try and get it done, especially ahead of planned Liverpool protests
You should be right

If I were any of Arnold, Murtough or Ten Hag I’d be saying throw an extra £20m at the deal to force it this week ahead of that thrashing against Liverpool

If you're Arnold, Murtough or Ten Hag, you know that if the window shuts and you don't make major signings you're done already. There's no coming back from it and fans will not accept any excuses this time.

This is correct

Besides, no player signs a five year contract because the results of two games were to his liking, especially when he knows (and hopefully likes) the coach

Well you usually sign a 5 year contract because you think the club will win something in that time, at United that is debatable

I’ve got a feeling De Jong is going to come on as a substitute. He’s warming up!

It’s very strange to introduce a player you are trying to force out. He may just end up staying! :(

You don’t know me and you certainly don’t call me a racist. You have no idea what you writing from the comfort of your armchair and if you had called me a racist in front of my face (which you wouldn’t) you’d be toast mate.
You don’t even understand what I am saying. How do you not see this pertains to Arnautovic?

If he wasn't keen on the idea of coming to us before, I can't imagine he's seen what's happened in the first 2 games for us and had a sudden change of heart. It really is quite depressing, but he's the only player we've been linked to who might actually make a substantial difference to the way this team plays football.

Problem is we need to get 4 or 5 others in as well.

I’ll be honest I’m surprised he’s come on as a go to sub when they need something. Obviously still got the managers trust.

I wonder if they are trying to do what they did with Dembele where they basically fed loads of negative news about him to increase the pressure on him to accept a lower contract. Once he did he’s been a first XI starter.

When he was sat on the bench, he looked quite sad when he was looking down. I thought he might have checked the sky sports score centre. I hope he doesn’t check it after the match!

We need a Barca defeat here to distract him!

People still talking like he'll choose to come here

He'd rather take a 50% pay cut and sit on the bench than come to this hell hole.
