To be fair, AWB gets a lot of stick, but he’s one of the best tacklers in the world. His offensive prowess is nonexistent, but if I needed a late game defender or someone to put out there in a defensive match, you could do far worse
His positioning is wank thats ehy he has to make last ditch tackles. Get shut of him

He wasnt sure of that though.
So you honestly think United will just throw away months of work? Or do you think they'll come back with a deal that Barca and de Jong "can't refuse". I know where i'm hedging my bets to be honest!

There is absolutely no way so many Barca first teamers would agree to new reduced saleries, if they thought for one moment that the club would keep FDJ on his current contract. No chance. They can sell ten players if they want, he’s not staying on his current deal.

Alabama but always Wales in my heart
It is not happening boys.

Once Barca get Aubameyang and Depay off their wage bill, they will be free to register Kounde.
Except Auba does not want to go, Depay is going on a free and they are also talking about Dest who has less of a market than Phil fecking Jones. They can register Kounde with 1 or 2 more leaving but that has little to do with FDJ because they still want to sign and register Alonso and are still dreaming of a new RB and Silva in midfield. FDJ if he stays is still going to be breaking their wage structure and so remains a problem for future windows and they also want that sweet, sweet transfer fee because their other outgoings are bringing in peanuts, this one big deal as has been outlined previously is worth around 175M net in terms of the fee and savings, a pretty tasty amount when you need to pay off 2 billion in loans.

Okay, if we pull out I think the club will brief the British press very soon, maybe it truly just a formality to sort things out.
It's no coincidence how reports were United will make one last huge push to get de Jong next week (this week) and the deal "expires" on Monday is it?

I don't know at this point, there's link with other midfielders now that there weren't before recently.
Its time to be decisive though.

Why did you just say the club had pulled out of the deal?
Because he said united have informed Barca that every deal they agreed previously is now off the table

He did not say anything about if they will be submitting another offer.

I watched it live as I was hoping for some good news.

Why would I just jump on here to report something I haven't heard.

Find it odd it’s not being reported anywhere? Even on Sky?

Our current offer is off the table and we may or maynot make a new offer- Van de Kraan.

Don't kill the messenger.

Dutch football journalist Marcel van der Kraan on Sky Sports News:

"Manchester United have officially withdrawn their offer to Barcelona. They had this offer on the table of £72m for weeks and there was a deadline on it which has passed. Manchester United had to take a decision on it before the deadline and have withdrawn the entire package over everything they’ve agreed."

The above is what he said verbatim, he goes on to say we may or may not bid again but likely not.

FFS stop lying

He said it wasn't likely that we'd pay the deferred wages
