I’m actually kind of excited for this game. Can’t believe it.

    Just when I think I’m out…

    Me too, I’m nervous.

I can’t help but shake that feeling that this team will click at some stage and the manager/team needs a break.

Along with injuries , Confidence has been a massive issue all season , a win tonight would be fantastic to build on the last few weeks wins.

    Amrabad and Antony starting.

Kinda wish it gets called off now as watching them will be more depressing.

This game Might actually suit them.

I get why many want Mainoo to start (I was hoping myself to be honest) but I think it’s probably the wise choice and you’d hope that the step down from EPL opposition should give Amrabat a better chance to perform.

Possibly not wanting to risk Mainoo on the crap surface? Just back from injury and all that, it makes sense and means he's fresh for Saturday. Antony coming in makes sense with Rashford out, and expecting 2 games in 4 days from Tony is asking for trouble.

A bit worried Shaw is playing given the surface, but must think it's worth the risk.

Surprised to see Hojlund back. So Mainoo has a great game then gets dropped.

i am also on board with not playing mainoo on this surface. Need to get it done without him for sure and not risk him getting injured yet again so soon. Against newcastle he will be crucial for us

Erik is in damage limitation mode. Imagine being selcted to play on such surface

    Was only half joking.

I kind of think it will suit him and Amrabat, slightly slower pace to the game etc. They'll have a bit more time on the ball.

UEFA statement confirns the match will have to be played tomorrow if posponed, thats ridiculous when we have Newcastle on Saturday

UEFA statement re Galatasaray v Man United

“We are closely monitoring the weather forecast and at this stage the match will go ahead as scheduled.”

UEFA rules state that if a match cannot start or is not played in full, the full or remaining match time is played on the next day.

United have a blockbuster clash on Saturday night against Newcastle, so any postponement would be a hammer blow to preparations.

Looks like there are so many young people here used to play on pitch with perfect cut grass, sunny days and 25-30C outside.

20-30 years ago we had no problems playing on that. Even before. If it is cold, put on long sleeve shirt and go out there and be warriors.
Not really that generation but no problem. You can call us that.

It is big difference between us and youngsters nowdays.

I like it and see no problem with that. You can't control weather. Just have good clothes on and just go with it. People shouldn't be afraid of getting dirty and wet.
I hope you're a parody account, and if you are, you're outdoing yourself the last few days. I love the idea of playing in averse weather being 'warrior-like' or that the players care a jot about getting dirty and/or wet. I also like how you've compared your kickabouts in the park with professional footballers running at speeds you can't comprehend in your casual games, as if them getting clattered at those speeds is equivocal to you taking a fraction of the force.

If you are trolling, you're reaching all-time status. Kudos.

Surprised that Varane isn't playing as he would have been fresh for this and also surprised Martial isn't starting as he is a momentum player and thought he would carry his good form over.

    On that pitch???

Ten Hag rather kill his confidence and show him there is no way for him to get into the first team unless Rasmus is injured.

Let's win this. Yes the atmosphere is always fiery, but they have a bang average defense, and if we manage to steer clear of making careless errors and resist succumbing to their pressing, we should be fine

Newcastle will be cancelled, there’s a rule stating the amount of time needed after a European game. It’s why EL sides can only play Sundays.
Domestically that rules doesn’t apply, we’ve played Wednesday and 12:30 Saturday already this season but UEFA won’t allow it with their competition

    Me too.

As a player (at a low level) and with United… always loved tough away fixtures. The more they shout, the better.

    Team makes sense to me.

AWB for defensive (Dalot can be subbed in need a more attacking RB)..

Mainoo not long back from injury, so Amrabat in (also Mainoo maybe v Newc?)

Hojlund fit so plays as a must win game

Only question was Antony but Ten Hag still rates him (not convinced at all) and Pellistri can be a good impact sub.

Heart says 8-0… head says 1-0.
