Why should he? He has one year left on an absolutely insane contract, Real Madrid aren't interested in playing him and he can pretty much just focus on staying fit for the World Cup. Bonus factor in terms of annoying the feck out of the higher ups at the club + the fans.

There will be a international break for the Nations League (Matchday 5+6) in September 2022......but no international break in October 2022 and no international breaks in March & June 2023 therefore the domestic seasons will finish under normal circumstances.so what the feck are they doing about the domestic season?
