I forgot I wanted to watch this game and turned on the game just as Gnabry was scoring the 4th, 35 minutes in Not the game I expected.
No, they just... don't defend. They jog along and pretend to play football. It's seriously bad.I take it Leverkusen have parked their backline on the halfway line or something?
I'm sure United wouldn't win the Bundesliga either.excellent league.
Fair enough! Tah has always been pretty average really, surprised they've never flogged him to premier league club for about 15m. Seen Tapsoba is on the bench. I watched Leverkusen quite a bit a few seasons ago and he looked a top talent so don't know if it's a case of not kicking on or new manager not rating him too much? No, they just... don't defend. In a good league, a 6:0 would never happen *cough City Chelsea*excellent league.

We took our foot off the gas in minute 40, I mean Nagelsmann started subbing off people at that point.Brilliant first half, lukewarm second. Of course there were quite a few subs in the second half to give our workhorses some rest at 5-0 up.
It might even be better this way. If we get a completly crazy result like 8:0 or 9:0 the team might get a bit ahead of itself. This way we can say we had a great half, got our result and move onto the CL game.We took our foot off the gas in minute 40, I mean Nagelsmann started subbing off people at that point.
For my taste, we took it off too much and I'm annoyed by the goal conceded, but that's how it always goes, even in Brazil-Germany..
And seeing this was the away game at the 2nd placed team, what a fecking performance it was..
Absolutely brutal. If they can keep that level they are definitely favourites to win the CL.I have rarely seen a team having this much control in the first half. It was puzzling

Wout Weghorst in quarantine - The wolves attacker has been infected with the corona virus. Get well soon, Wout!
Jury's still out on who's right. He might walk away from this, stronger, younger, and a better striker, like Trump and Bolsonaro did.
He couldn't stop the steal against Sevilla either though.Jury's still out on who's right. He might walk away from this, stronger, younger, and a better striker, like Trump and Bolsonaro did.

Peters was especially responsible for getting money at Schalke. And while the various DoF's wasted hundreds of millions, it is due to Peters that Schalke always had massive sponsoring deals etc. Schalke's downfall is not his fault for me, but the fact that they have the by far highest revenue in the second league is his work.Tweet

Peter Peters, who achieved greatness as Schalke's CEO, is putting himself forward as a candidate for the vacant position of DFB president. What could possibly go wrong.
Watzke is supposed to follow him as DFL's chairman of the board, a post which Peters is stepping down from to make himself more viable for the DFB post.
I think you're confusing him with Alexander Jobst?! Director of marketing?!Peters was especially responsible for getting money at Schalke. No I don't, but I think you got something wrong. He was not CEO of Schalke as such, but their CFO from 1994-2020 and acted as CEO for some companies Schalke owns (related to their stadium). Jobst joined much later, but you are of course right that he is also influential in that.I think you're confusing him with Alexander Jobst?! Director of marketing?!
I actually looked up Peters' profile for DFL and DFB and both list him as "Geschäftsführer" for Schalke, which I take it translates to CEO.No I don't, but I think you got something wrong. Yeah I agree someone with better insider knowledge should clarify this. I tried to find more information myself and just got confused.I actually looked up Peters' profile for DFL and DFB and both list him as "Geschäftsführer" for Schalke, which I take it translates to CEO.
But be that as it may: Jobst took charge of his post just when Schalke started to fall off on the sporting side and had to find creative solutions to keep up. Being the second richest club, when you're the second biggest and second most successful club doesn't impress me that much, but after Jobst took over they managed to stay relatively close to Dortmund financially with sometimes unpopular (or innovative: e.g. their esports foray which appears to have turned out to save them over the summer) but profitable deals, despite falling further and further behind on the sporting side. And in any case the guy who is responsible for the finances is also the guy responsible for Schalke never really lowering the sum of debt they took with their new stadium some 20 years ago. As far as I know Peters is the second most unpopular person among Schalke fans (excluding Buchta and various coaches who were hated short term), but maybe @Rektsanwalt can tell us differently.
This also has to do with our four CDMs being out injured, though. Playing Amiri and Demirbay in CM meant the midfield was completely exposed. But yes, hugely impressive display by Bayern. In a way I'm grateful it went that way, at least they killed the illusion that it could become a somewhat exciting title race right at the beginning this yearAbsolutely brutal. If they can keep that level they are definitely favourites to win the CL.
I'm actually surprised his parents got away with thatImagine throwing your name in the hat when that name is Peter Peters. Some people have no shame.
The tens of people out there who believed Leverkusen could win the league will be absolutely shocked by this realization. This also has to do with our four CDMs being out injured, though. I wasn't talking about our chances. Dortmund is nowhere near a match for Bayern and it will show as the season goes on. And most likely only become worse when Haaland eventually leaves. The tens of people out there who believed Leverkusen could win the league will be absolutely shocked by this realization.
What do Dortmund's chances, however small or big, have to do with Leverkusen going full Brazil though?I wasn't talking about our chances. Dortmund is nowhere near a match for Bayern and it will show as the season goes on. And most likely only become worse when Haaland eventually leaves.
A lot. What do Dortmund's chances, however small or big, have to do with Leverkusen going full Brazil though?
How so?A lot.
