When push comes to shove there's always a good chance that the ref is generous with Bayern. Sometimes it's a goal that's not given despite the ball being 1m behind the goal line. Sometimes Ribery can gouge his opponents eye, with the 4th official right behind him, sometimes Boateng can block a certain goal by extending his elbow. Sometimes Kimmich can stamp on his opponent and VAR somehow misses it completely.
Cup final 2018 against Frankfurt. Same referee by the way. Didn't give a clear penalty to Bayern in the dying minutes despite going to look the incident at the VAR screen.
It's just nonsense that all decisions go to Bayern. Bayern gets more penalties because they dominate games and have many more touches in the penalty area than other teams.
The Reus incident can result in penalty, it's a 50:50. Hummels was unlucky but it's a clear penalty, similar to Boateng against Italy in the Euros 2016. Or the handball Man United got against PSG in their infamous win leading to Ole becoming their full-time manager. The CL final Liverpool vs. Tottenham is another example. Stupid but a clear penalty according to the existing rules.
If you guys played like today against Ajax and Sporting you would have had easily qualified for the last 16. The referee in Ajax match, I think it was Michael Oliver, was much worse.
I would be rather annoyed with Hummels than the ref. He cost you 2 goals today.
