Give me a left-field way of how you would finish the season

By the rules, season needs to be finished by end of June. I'm not sure how likely and realistic/fair it is to finish season with integrity. Liverpool deserve to win the league, cramming the games to be done in a month behind closed doors is hardly fair. Especially for teams fighting against relegation and top 4. You can't tell me that the away teams wouldn't have an advantage. This is clearly to ensure tv money.

Null and void, everyone stays where they were. Maybe put an asterisk beside Liverpool that they finished first, even though mathematically they hadn't won it.

Think this virus is going to last months in Europe most likely. Put cup games and CL/EL knockout games when they were scheduled in 2020 in 2021. Keeps everyone safe and start league in late September. Cancel fa cup/league cup and play this seasons knockout fa cup in the second half of the season. Basically put forward one year. It comes down to how are we going to protect everyone. I don't think as it stands now at the very end of March, we can say that it will be safe. Safe for the players and staff, paramedics and logistics of having closed stadium games. Good luck telling merseyside to stay inside if they are winning the league some week in May.
Cutting European games is still crucial in my opinion. Fans shouldn't be travelling anywhere for the next 6 months.
As long as the asterisk is on the wikipedia page and not the trophy.

When/If it restarts then all games played also double up for results for corresponding fixtures next season. So as and when new season starts those games and points from the final games this season are counted as played going into next season. Final relegated teams points would obviously not be counted. Obvious snags -
1. Promoted teams have the the problem to play more games.
2. Teams with tougher or easier run-ins might be disadvantaged
3. Scrap the League Cup for a season.

How about all remaining games this season are voided and next season carries on with current points. So it is kind of a double season (minus remaining games).
gets around the issue that teams currently in promotion/relegation places are not rewarded/penalized (by ending league as is).
Cancel next years league cup.
Champions League and Europa League continues when possible and is awarded in 2021.

I think this can apply to all leagues (it is not all about Premiership), and seems something that can easily be implemented.

Each team sends over their best player to Pogba’s footy room and has a one-v-one match, first to 5 wins.
First up for us in May, Zaha v Pogba.
Corona tests mandatory to being allowed in.

5-a-side, winner stays on, 24 hours of football per league.

Team with the most game-time after 24 hours wins their respective league.

(obviously all broadcast live on free-to-air, hosted by Craig Charles in an OTT fake industrial warehouse with great big klaxons, flashing lights, countdowns and a commentary team of Richard Ayoade and Jonathan Pearce)

Finish the season behind closed doors - 3 matches a week - national league games only - all televised. Its the inky safe solution that can happy any time soon unless enough get it for herd immunity or there's a vaccine.

Then worry about CL/UEFA after that - it can be done in the "off season" later on.

Cancel the season now, UEFA “invites” 4 teams to the Champions League... Europa League etc.

The 4 teams in the Playoffs play 45 minute games back to back at Wembley.

1 week later, the winner from that enters an 8 team sudden death golden goal knockout alongside the teams in the 2 automatic promotion places, and the 5 teams at the bottom of the Premier League. The draw will be seeded based on league finishing positions. Lose your first game (conceding the first goal) & you’re relegated (or at least you don’t get promoted)... win the next round & you’re promoted. The 3rd & 4th place playoff is 45 minutes (with penalties if necessary)... winner plays Premier League, loser plays in the Championship.

It's got to be seeded playoffs. Quick and exciting for a one off season.

For the remaining fixtures left, pick the last 5 league games between those 2 teams. Put 5 numbered balls in to a bag and get the club captain of the home fixture to pick it out, then show a replay of the game on Sky or BT.

Each team updated on the editor to reflect current squads and then handed over to their actual human counterpart managers to play out the remaining fixtures

Jeff Stelling Soccer Saturday covers it live

How about this...

To get a finalised table, matches that haven't been completed this season and are being played next season are counted for both.

So for example, Liverpools remaining fixtures are:

Aresenal away,
Brighton away
Everton away,
Palace home
Chelsea home
etc

play those games in the early part of next season, and count the result for both tables (this season and next season)

It doesn't help relegation and promotion, nor does it help European places. And not all matches will get finished because of any relegated (or promoted) teams, but I think it's a good option to produce a finished table.

Greenland doesn't have any cases and is officially free of coronavirus.

Test everyone before and then take them to the island to play out the rest of the season BCD.

You can finish the season and have no threat of the coronavirus

Stop the season now and assign final places based on points per game with caveats

if you furloughed staff you are deducted 30 points

if you refunded money to fans travelling to Austria for a Europe League game, paid matchday staff, supported charity and generally were excellent in handling of Covid-19you are awarded 30 extra points
