He’s living the Moyes high life

Wasn’t it something like £20m?

Apparently he was on £12m per year and a 5 year contract.

He’s going to get over £50m from Chelsea as pay out.

£70+m on potter for 25 games..

Wow
Did you miss this tweet or does it not fit your agenda? It clearly says it’s not dependant on the number of years left on his deal.

Aren't pretty much all of the backroom staff people he took from Brighton aswell? And that fitness guy is someone Tuchel wants at Bayern.

Genuinely interested who they're actually going to put in temporary charge v Liverpool as I'd like them to rouse themselves to get at least a draw from that.

Football wise, the most sensible appointment at this stage of the season and with the players up there is Conte.
I don't think it's feasible because Chelsea would have to persuade Spurs to release his coaching staffs to come help him. Spurs then needs to get the new set up in if they still hold out their permanent manager appointment until summer.

I called this when he went to Chelsea. Baffling career choice that put his entire managerial career in peril.

Taking over a club with so much turnover in staff and wildwest squad purchases was never going to work .

The only thing they have to fight for is the CL and Conte is shit in Europe

So this confirms defeat for us on Tuesday then. I actually thought we’d lose to Chelsea anyway, just so it would give him a stay of execution. We’ve lost to every other manager who’s been under fire this season.

There's not a chance he's getting £50m payoff. Even Chelsea aren't that stupid.

Bloody hell!
“It is understood that Chelsea will not have to pay the full value of Potter’s contract, which would have been worth around £50m with just over four years remaining on it.“

Surprised pochettino hasn’t had any talks with any clubs since they’ve been quite a few clubs available.

Rodgers would unironically be a better choice than Nagelsmann at this point. Knows the league, can produce instant results, good for the dressing room for at least 1 year.

Nagelsmann would no doubt be a long term project but it's a big risk.

Depends if you believe a tweet or the articles that have been posted on multiple media sources with regards to the cost of sacking him.

It depends on the contract signed by the two of them, not on the “informed speculation” from any third party outlet, though… so we will never know, if not through the club’s balance sheet (in case they have to make it public).

Wtf are you talking about? The athletic and Matt law are both reporting that he isn’t getting the remainder of his contract paid off. So no he’s not getting £50m or anything close to the nonsense you quoted.

We do know he’s on £12m per year over 5 years.

He’s getting one of the biggest payouts ever. Whatever way you look at it.

Of course Law the Chelsea mouthpiece will try and spin it after the event though.

Of course the Chelsea mouthpiece will look to spin it after the event. Do your research and you’ll find plenty of information which suggests otherwise.

The tweet posted in the La Liga thread had Poch going to Real Madrid next season

Yep, absolute worst case (like we did with Di Matteo) he'd get paid his weekly wage until he gets a new job.

No I’d say the worst case is you pay him over £50m as per his contract.

Whatever happens he’s getting a huge pay off as he’s been at the club over 6 months.

Yeah, the idea that Chelsea would sack him knowing they will have to pay him off close to 50m is ludicrous.

Wow. I liked what Potter was doing with Brighton & Hove, I think they brought quality to the league, and him jumping to Chelsea mid-season I thought was kinda weak. So it's just desserts. Chelsea still a shambolic club, long may that continue.

31% win rate at Brighton and a 38% win rate at Chelsea. Tbf, that's progrss. He should be aiming for a 40 odd percent win rate at his next club.
