Yeah, he wore 8 for Sporting I think. He did pick 18 because he admires Scholes, but if Mata were to leave in the next year or two, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bruno switch to 8 as well.

I have always thought of 6 as a centre backs number. With 4 being a defensive midfielder.
Our player numbering has been off for years but I blame Luke Shaw for it all. Him Switching from 3 to 23 was criminal in my book.

Shaw didn't want the number 3 if i remember correctly and he switched back to 23, 2 and 3 should always be of fullback. I want proper numbering for positions too

If he had been given 7 most people would take that to mean the Sancho deal is off. Sancho already wears 7 and its obvious he would get 7 if he were to come here.
