We’re definitely doing something wrong in training. Maguire very rarely gets injured.

So, we went into the season with 5 center backs, and now 6 of them are injured.

It was already a joke, but this is now an absolute farce.

McTom and Casemiro? To channel the infamous Carrick-Fletcher combo years back?
I believe Evans has been back in training a few days already, so probably Casemiro and Evans then. McTominay is not ruled out, but a doubt.

If anybody was left in any doubt that there is something wrong with our training and rest system, this just put it to bed. I don't think ETH can blame this on the Glazers.

Now watch him overplay Evans and we're down to fumes.

It is definitely the training regime.

I suspect it's a combination of training and poor recovery and rest protocols and facilities. Throw in that players have to expend more energy running about on match day because the football system doesn't work. Basically we need more players, younger players, faster players and better facilities. And most of all we need to let the ball do more of the work on the field in a 99 minute game. Kill off the game early and pass it around like City do so you have lots left in the tank for May.

Remember Ronaldo slagging off the swimming pool and saying Carrington was a joke? He's a narcissistic bellend but he knows his shit when it comes to training.

Crazy season for the whole defence. But some will say it’s not an issue.

Can’t wait to see a Casemiro and McTom cb pairing.

Before Christmas Oct/Nov he was our best performer.

Since he's come back in February he's been decent. Still one of our better players imo.

Shame he'll end the season with another injury.

Hopefully for him and England he'll be fully fit for the Euros. One of Southgate's important players in that backline.

One of the mentally strongest player ever. He was ridiculed, write off and boos by own fans. But he came back and perform to be one of the best player this season. He deserves respect regardless he will be here or not next season.

Definitely. Also he's been ridiculed for years. People say players sometimes get overrated because they're English but think he's also example of the opposite. English, "big head" and similar stuff that was just pure hatred at one point. Fans and public in general show sadistic tendencies sometimes. Of course it's up to Maguire and everyone else to deal with it and beat that whole pressure but it's still vicious.

Apparently ruled out of the cup final. Shame for him and with us probably playing compact and defending for our lives at some point he might have been a good option.

Yeah. Absolutely deserved to play that game as well given his performances this year. Not sure if Martinez and Varane will start but kinda concerned they could still be raw and not play on required level.

Feel for him, probably his last tournament as a starter and it's gone.

Big blow, despite all the ABU's who will try and claim it's a good thing.

Shows how wildly optimistic it was to think he'd make the FA Cup final!

You wonder how the hell Southgate thinks Shaw as the only left back makes sense.

Gets a lot of grief, but likely played through injury due to the state of the squad, to the detriment of his last major international tournament. I'm fine with fans thinking he should or shouldn't be in the squad on footballing reasons, but we should be giving him a lot more support for his commitment to the club.

Strange time to say this when Guehi just assisted the equaliser

They had quite a few set pieces and they weren't threatening at all. Guehi did a good job but England are not as much of a threat from set pieces as they are when Maguire is there.

Wolverhampton might need a new CB now and they have the Kilman money.
