You want to really improve the Utd squad, then the first bit of business should be, get rid of Jose. The squad are only doing what he instructs them to do, knowing quite well if they don't then they could be bench warmers for months, e.g. Bailly. When his failings as a manager get exposed on the field then he is the first to tell the world it isn't his fault and then selects certain players he can throw under the bus to try and save face.

With another more modern manager with attacking football UTD will be a completely different team to what we are experiencing now.

The defence is shite and only spending money or developing some quality youngsters is going to fix that no matter who the manager is. I'd say we've got some good youngsters in defence but I'm not sure any of them are really top quality, we'll have to see how Tuanzebe gets on over the next few years and the young Portuguese lad, but realistically our defence needs the board/manager/whoever's fault it is to choose some quality targets and then go out and get them. New RB and composed CB at an absolute minimum.

We sign players and they stagnate. It's ridiculous really. How many of our signings have come to this club and improved as players? We need a shake down from top to bottom.
