Our health authorities are absolute cretins. Instead of potentially getting promoted to league A (plus an outside chance of a WC playoff spot) and being in pot 2 for the WC draw, our clueless politicians with their holier than thou attitude have sabotaged any sort of positivity that was surrounding the national team. The sanctions from UEFA won't be pretty.

Yeah, this seems like a show of power by the authorities. Of course, football shouldn't be treated way differently than other sports, but these guys have virtually zero chance of causing a major outbreak. They were supposed to leave the country FFS.
This will be more exciting as qualification is decided today and there is no result that suits both teams. We have to win or draw 0-0, France have to win or draw with goals.

I agree - but when the matches are played, it's even more stupid by Norway to stop their team 30 hour before the game is being played. If we are lucky we will only lose the games against Rumania and Austria. And not get demoted to the C-group.
If our authorities had made this decision 24 hours earlier (when the covid-test became known) - there would probably have been time to find a new team - now that ship has probably sailed
Isreal team with one positive test = allowed to leave Norway and travel to Czech Republic without needing to self-isolate for 10 days
Norway team with one positive test = not allowed to leave Norway and travel to Romania without self-isolating for 10 days (non of the players nor the manager live in Norway so won’t be returning here)
On top of that the Norwegian players are free to take commercial flights back to their clubs all over Europe but traveling together in a private jet to Romania is illegal.

No one is denying that. The point is this particular stance from the Norwegian authorities achieves absolutely nothing because the moment the games are called off the players (who supposedly have to self-isolate) will be free to take commercial flights back to their clubs. This wouldn't be an issue in any other country.
This is a must watch for us united fans. Martial, Pogba and Bruno going at it.
