Punjab vs RCB final would be good. This match should be close though. May come down to Stoinis being able to close it for Punjab or not.
I just can’t see Punjab winning with Bumrah having 3 off 9 remaining overs.. they’re under calculating that i feel.
They have to target all the other bowlers. Interesting to see when shreyas starts accelerating.

So another new winner of the IPL. As someone who has supported Delhi for 18 years this is brutal because we are now going to be one of the two teams left without a title. Hate Delhi team so much.
They need to sack Badoni. He is a fool. I still have some hopes for this cycle, our bowling attack is very good. We could have backed our young Indian batsmen the same way Punjab did but instead changed the order every match.
And both Shreyas and Ponting were with Delhi.
Inda's T20 team doesn't have Jaiswal, Gill, Sudarshan, Iyer, Ruturaj in it. Pretty incredible.

I can see them putting Gill in even if it means pushing Samson to 3 or playing a different keeper all together
You could probably field 3 and still remain fairly competitive
Bowlers might become a little thin but you have more then enough batters
It's a bit of a strange problem. They've made a commitment to picking bazballers and now they can't jettison them because 1) we are now a bazball team 2) bad look to drop players for no reason. But on form, the best players seem to be outside of the squad. Samson only recently hit 3 hundreds for India, so it'll set a bad precedent to take him out of the 11.
I actually really like Tilak as well, but surely he's the one most likely to get the axe.
Samson will definitely start but he will have to maintain his form. Also like I said they can try him at 3 and move Tilak back to 5. More than form, the fact Samson is a keeper is also a big factor. Other than him there is no auto starter for keeper position.

This will sting Punjab for a long time, that target definitely could have been chased. Krunal Pandya the match MVP without a doubt. Happy for Kohli, polarizing personality but he definitely paid his dues over 18 seasons.
Iyer is very important for us (india). He didn't perform on wc 23 final, we lost, couldn't perform today, punjab lost, did perform in CT final, we won.
Rcb really used to be a joke of a franchise but rebuilt themselves with analytics & proper coaching. Credit to them for making the changes
Commentators are insufferable now days. Hayden is hyperbolic to the extreme, Karthik spews non sense non stop, Gavaskar's senile, Shastri keeps repeating his idioms and even Bhogle is like your unfunny uncle trying too hard. Only Bishop knows his brand and does well at it.
There are a number of IPL finals where an under par score won the game for the team. RCB themselves lost a couple while chasing, MI won a couple like that while defending. It is just like that in finals. You can't get behind the curve and play catch up. The power play was huge for Punjab in this game and they didn't get away.
