We love Raiola now or?
Raiola urges Manchester United to play 4 4 2 with flying wingersWhat's new?
Not much, Raiola reading what United fans are saying, speaking same words in interview, so he is now a friend and cares for the club, Pogba now wants to stay, cause no one want to buy him, so he loves the club, want to stay but needs support. And new contract. And more image rights. And bigger marketing, and less playing minutes preferably. Until some club calls on the phone..What's new?

Mino for the DOF!Raiola urges Manchester United to play 4 4 2 with flying wingers
With Riaola's quotes being very interesting, diving onto United's heirarchy like that, I can see him pushing more towards United, with rumours of Saudi's incoming, and becoming the sort of agent who works towards bringing players into United. Seem's farfetched I agree, but Mino is slimy enough that I'd imagine him thinking along these lines and rolling in even more bread.
You may be right about this, Riaola's made a very good living out of knowing/sensing the changes in direction of the footballing winds. In terms of Pogba's possible leaving the club, the 'handbrake' seems to have gone on fully from Riaola; either because nobody is interested in Pogba, at least until he's proved himself fit again, or because the agent has his mind on who might be taking over the Club.
The same will happen with Martial, and mark my words, Fred will go back to being rubbish soon too, after only a couple of games. There is a group of players who have much shorter string, and are generally warmed to grudgingly. There are others who the poor/average performances are excused within minutes, so that by the time a good one comes, the narrative will not be ‘one good game’.
Someone should tell him people cannot fly, unlike himself who imagines he is flying.Raiola urges Manchester United to play 4 4 2 with flying wingers
Why those 3 especially if you don't mind asking?
In terms of negativity, my observation is that their poorer performances overshadow their good ones the most. There is always a lingering distrust towards them, and the shortest string.
Mainly though, the criticism is often personal. The recurring theme of attitude and commitment always comes up with them, which is quietened with some good performances, but reoccurs if it doesn’t go well. Fred was lambasted for getting married in the summer, but there seems so little will to defend him, understand him - there was a unanimous throwing away of the player, the person etc. With Martial, it’s similar, injuries are questioned with raised eyebrows, a few bad games and half the forum have ‘had enough’ and he should leave the next summer. A week after the winner in the derby he was back to being the enemy again.
With Pogba, there isn’t even much to be said there. He was announced injured and a thread was created suggesting it was made up and he’d agreed a move to Real in January ffs. Any bad performance lingers and lingers, and there has been a sentiment of distrust since before the deal for his return was even done.
I don’t see the general ‘one of us’ treatment of them the way I see some other players. They are often spoken about as if they are here under duress, poor performances are because they care less about the club than other players, and will be good riddance when gone. Of course, when they produce their genius, we love them again for 5 minutes, but generally, I don’t get the impression that they are seen as ‘family’. More to be tolerated on the condition they are brilliant weekly, and as soon as they are not, it’s like a latent vitriol comes straight back to the surface. On the basis that I can guarantee that Pogba, Martial and Fred will continue to have some dodgy performances, I don’t see this changing much. Some people may say it’s the money they cost. Perhaps. I think Paul Pogba at least, due to the fact he’s an FA Youth Cup winner here and has spent most of his adult life in Manchester as a red would by now be taken in as ‘one of ours’, but he’s seemingly always one bad performance away from excommunication.
@Rozay that is fair and hard to argue. But, all United players are in the same boat imo. Shaw is lazy, there is battering of De Gea even him being fantastic all these years.
In short, lack of success is what starts all the attacks and those 3 aren't different from the treatment that rest of the team gets.
Yea, perhaps you’re right. I agree that not being very good is bringing the worst out of many of us. I just find the ‘othering’ of certain players a little unfair is all. I think, despite De Gea’s situation with Madrid, for years, people don’t treat him like an outsider, for example.
When you say outsider, I guess you mean Pogba.
De Gea had all the support, until his form went down. Now, he becomes a target.
Paul is fantastic player, but people confuse his lack of defensive awareness with the lack of effort. He is usually among players who run the most, but he is also a moment player. Which isn't a bad thing at all, after all football is a low scoring game and he is the one who can break down any defence with moments that the rest of the team can only dream off.
In the end, his performances as a whole feed both sides of the spectrum with our set up.
Ironically (no matter what is his reason) Mino is right, he does need more support. He needs a controling mid behind him to free him and a runner in Saul (Vidal) mould. If he is to stay here the club should look in that direction.
Just have him for what he is and put him in positions where he can use his qualities the most. In his defence we haven't done that so far.
Right... so can you explain how he was a worse signing than Sanchez? Seems like a ridiculous statement to meThat just shows how rubbish the rest of the team is. Don't get me wrong, he is, or can be a fantastic player, and that 3 month stint where he really turned it on was great. But a player with his price tag, and on his wages needs to be doing that consistently week in week out over the duration of his contract...or at least give 110% each time he plays.
Because he cost a billion pounds to buy and is on a shit load of money every week. Plus all the ego and controversy....been a terrible signing for Utd so far. Sanchez was always a punt, didn't have a massive transfer fee, just the wages...was always gonna be 50/50 with him, as he had a track record at Arsenal for being a bad egg. Pogba was the saviour who was coming home! You know it’s possible to feel more than one thing at once? Like wanting to win trophies b

What the culturist boarderline racist fans couldn’t adjust to him being the flag ship player for ‘their’ club.
I can’t wait.
Should hang your head in shame for this post man! There has never been any hint of racism in this thread and to even imply it is disgusting! I'd go as far to say that accusing folk of being racist when there is no cause is just as bad as actual racism! I'm disappointed in you man, I always held your posts in high regard. What the culturist boarderline racist fans couldn’t adjust to him being the flag ship player for ‘their’ club.

Here we go, racist again because a player some fans dislike is black.

Your defence of Pogba is admirable, but to stoop so low..It's just wrong man!

Rooney ffs.Maybe because fans show him extreme hate.... because he’s black.
When’s the last time we’ve hated our best players for reasons such as dancing? Being injured and getting a hair cut?

Rooney ffs.
After the contract saga yes, he burned bridges with many fans. Then years later telling the world he was a midfielder stinking the place out. Fellaini, Cleverley, even Phil Jones has reportedly declined his testimonial. All because the fanbase are racistsAs Rooney ever been actually hated by a large portion of the fanbase? At the end of his tenure, most thought that he was passed it but irrational hate wasn't the cause of it. With Pogba we have people making stuff up or ignoring what dozens of people that have actually played or coached him think about his personality or professionalism, I mean we still have people claiming that SAF ditched him when SAF says the opposite.

We would be mocking United if we pulled this.
Madrid have a habit of saying we didnt want him anyway when missing out on a target
what a waste of time this is, he is happy and wants to stay anyway. Real Madrid looking pretty stupid here
That's one way of spinning it. The other is they don't need him any more with Valverde and Modric seeing them through to summer, when Odegaard will return.
