OT is definitely in need of renovation but wouldn’t want a new stadium - it wouldn’t have the romance of being the same spot that produced magic from Best, Charlton, Law, Robson, Cantona, Giggs... or Luke Chadwick.
I would personally love to see:
1. The roofs modified so all parts of the stadium can see the other parts of the stadium - this alone would make it look colossal and crazy imposing.
2. A general upgrade. The corporate suites are pretty poor, journos always complain that we’re severely lacking, and thingslike the bigs which are a bit rank at times.
3. A football village, think like a Christmas market setup but with permanent stalls/shops with different eateries, merch stalls, bars etc. It could mean fans coming to the stadium a few hours before to soak up the atmosphere and spend some cash.
4. Something a bit out there like an open amphitheater (or maybe with a roof but still outside) where fans could come to watch away games on a big screen or past players could give talks or be interviewed before games. Imagine racking up early to a game, going to watch Cantona give an interview then heading to an on-site pub/bar before the game
5. Increased capacity. The dream would be to mirror the North stand and to drop a third tier a round the east and Stretford to make a bit of a bowl. If we struggle to fill the stadium start giving reduced rates to local younger fans and let them fall in love with the experience of going to OT
6. For the love of all that is holy put some f*cking screens up! Embarrassing for a club in 2019 to not have a big screen
